Can someone post pics of 3 Para Sf?

I recently came to know that they are the 2nf SF unit which is trained for desert warfare and is a backup for 10 para who are training them.

I would like to see their gear and machines.

I would like to know from members who have direct contacts in our special forces :

1.How popular is Tavor in our SFs(Para/Marcos/Garud/SFF)?

Is it preferred over M4 (also used by Army SFs)? Are there any plans to acquire the X95, which is the upgraded version Israeli forces have replaced the Tavor with?

2. How do these Israeli Weapons (Tavor, Negev LMG & Galil Sniper) compare in reliability and ruggedness, with India made weapon platforms (INSAS Rifle, INSAS LMG) ?.....

I am asking this because i rarely see pictures of soldiers with a Tavor /Negev in Siachen... Whereas i see plenty with INSAS :)

Maybe, there are no definitive answers to my questions and only opinions...but would be glad to hear them too..

I think the answer is a mixed bag. Some prefer the AR system some the Tavor. I personally dont like the TAVOR. the Sholder Stock requires constant readjusting between shots as the barrel tends to point up while holding in the ready position. I believe the X-95 has fixed the balance of the weapon. Other than that the weapon has a large silhouette/footprint compared to the M-4 - While its not heavy - it adds bulk

Dont know the answer to the second question but both systems of firearms serve in the deserts, jungles and high altitude including siachen today.

What i would like to see with our SF community is weapon systems with 16/18" barrel weapons with Suppressors. Alot has been written on the benefits of this combo. special for Urban/Semi-urban MOUT/COIN operations

In India alot comes down to manufacturing quality issues (not design) and ammo quality

There is a need of Special operational command in Kashmir asap to avoid confusion btw multiple agencies
That being said I truly believe that the SOP and training manual of the NSG is not a perfect fit for COIN . They are a CT/HRT unit. Unless a high value hostages are taken NSG may not be the optimal resource.
