A 50 km shell and a 300 km rocket would be the most used round in case of a war. These are much more cost effective compared to a 300 km missile.I am curious to figure difference of a a 50 km Artillery shell, a 300km rocket and a 300km missile.
For a battle to be fought by India in the near future either on the western front or on the northern front, which is more useful and important for the commander in the field , taking into consideration the terrain and logistics.
What are the cost advantage and disadvantage of each.
Some in the media stated that it was Pinaka. Also, has even ATAGS been ordered by Armenia ? TC-20 MGS makes more sense for Armenia being shoot and scoot and this able to evade Azeri drones and loitering munitions.
The infamous Z mark, I can start a rumour on internet with this video.
Are you kidding me???? that's like 30 guns per year???!!!! How is this production any efficient???!!!Army likely to complete inducting 114 Dhanush guns by 2026

Because dhanush is caught between the sharang and atags . Neither ultra cheap like the sharang nor modern and long ranged like the ATAGS. Sure they used the dhanushs barrel for the sharang but this small order is more like a consolation prize to aweil. Are you kidding me???? that's like 30 guns per year???!!!! IIT Madras I guess is already working on a ramjet propelled artillery shell which when fired from a 155/52 cal artillery system should have a range of 70-80km.Indian army too should look into buying the below artillery round to give our howitzers an 100 km range.
Vulcano 155 mm Guided Artillery Shell | MilitaryToday.com
Vulcano is a family of extended-range and guided artillery shells. These shells have a range of 60-100 km. These artillery shells were jointly developed by Leonardo of Italy and DIEHL Defence of Germany in order to integrate these shells into the German PzH 2000 howitzer.www.militarytoday.com
I read a bit, seems this might have issues with low explosive mass. Its a subcaliber projectile with rocket booster. Might be fine as stop gap till we get proper ERPsIndian army too should look into buying the below artillery round to give our howitzers an 100 km range.

70-80km seems too low. From ATAGs, which can fire 50km without RAP, even regular rocket assisted projectiles should go some 70 ish kilometers.IIT Madras I guess is already working on a ramjet propelled artillery shell which when fired from a 155/52 cal artillery system should have a range of 70-80km.
In the thin air of Leh-Ladakh, due to lesser air resistance, this range would be even more.
