A few of the upgrades already developed, and most at advanced stages.
One particular tech under development for 1200 units ATAGS v2 & unknown units of MGS v2 is the Adaptive recoil system comprising of both Magneto Rheological (MR) fluid and Soft recoil system to reduce firing load + reduce the system structural weight.... will open the gates for 58 Cal Barrel, from the current 52.

This would go well in our indigenous NG-SPH, equivalent to South Korea's proposed K9-A3.

These are the techs
Pls name one gun with such specs and 1200 guns jumla

all of it would have made sense had it been like 1200 ATAGS v1 and 300 to 500 initial batch of this futuristic ATAGS Version 2 thing;
they are trying to chase a fucking mirage here with these many things that not even best of artillery in market have in offer right now
but do we even need these many Gizmo in hand to start with ?! we need to develop a strong base of modern-tier artillery in good numbers first which ATAGS and Bharat-52 and Dhanush already are capable of building out of; then why are they wasting precious time in all these mumbo jumbo gizmo ?! pehle jo shortage hai woh toh kam kare baad me replace kar dena jab yeh sab FUTURISTIC ADVANCED ban jaae

Is this a joke !!! They haven’t yet inducted the futuristic ATAGS but talk of another advanced gun with a threat of two front war looming.

Looks like ARMY is MEA bharose.. They don't intend to fight, except fight the ultra mega super duper threat of Jihadis who are more formidable than the PLA ..

Exactly when u don't possess current capabilities related to ur threat and requirement then with what face u are expecting the govt or people to believe such shit
Most importantly these techs are not present in any present artillery but countries are still procuring
And most important as u pointed is there requirement of such advanced accessories

Doesn't exist. Few specs straight out of videogames. Another 10 years of development added to the two decade plus waiting for a solution THAT SHOULD'NT BE THIS FUCKING HARD.

There is a proposal to increase the percentage of soldiers permanently retained from 25% in agnipath program to 50%. God help us, then what's the point of having a reservist system. The whole idea was to take advantage of a reduction in manpower to spend on capital expenditure.

The Army needs officers like Manekshaw or Sundarji to get everything back on track. There's a lot of smart people in the Army, but they need to be heard as well.. That is the need of the hour, because I have no doubts that our borders with China and Pakistan will go FUBAR in the near and dear future..

At the cost of range sure... Fuel Cell based on hydrogen. Where and how they would store hydrogen in liquid form without increasing footprint.
