Not sure what thread to put this on. So, putting it here
What is the consensus on UAV that can fire standoff weapon outside zone of jammers , act as wing man to fighter jets and got stealth design ?UAVs are highly vulnerable and have limited impact in a Warzone: IAF Chief
Which standoff weapon & which UAV ?What is the consensus on UAV that can fire standoff weapon outside zone of jammers , act as wing man to fighter jets and got stealth design ?
Where are you getting these numbers from this what Wikipedia is saying.Entire Porkiland has 405 Combat planes currently. Adding additional 58 J10C we will get a grand value of 463 combat planes.
Composition:
1. J10C - 72 (Currently 14 in service)
2. JF17 - 134
3. F16 - 75
4. Mirage III - 60 (Older Radar Grifo)
5. Mirage 5 - 69 (Older Radar Grifo)
6. Chengdu F7 - 53 (Dog shit)
Current IAF Composition consist of 636 Combat planes. We can take on PAF easily but against PLAAF it is a proper shit show.
Composition:
1. Rafale - 36
2. SU -30 MKI - 262
3. Tejas - MK1 - 32
4. MIG 29UPG - 65
5. Mirage 2000 - 51
6. Jaguar - 130 (My guess may be 60 airframes will go for Darin 3 upgrades, read in some article)
7. MIG 21 bison - 54 (Going to be replaced, shorthanded for now)
We can take on PAF in aerial combat. Also, Porkiland issue is all their critical area under our Rocket artillery range. So, Army can assist in fighting the Porks Air force.
On the other hand, PLAAF 1729 combat planes. Now the problem arises here. We are outmatched 3:1 ratio on combat planes.
Composition
1. JH - 7 - 216
2. J 7 - 388 (Garbage may be moved to do some basic task)
3. SU-27 - 50
4. SU - 76
5. SU 35 - 24
(Combine SU family here is 150 lesser than SU 30 MKI count)
Fun ends here:
6. J8 - 96 (Garbage)
7.J10 - 235 (Headache)
8. J11 - 346 (Massive Headache)
9. J16 - 128 (Massive headache)
10. J20 - 50 (Absolute Headache with Proper SEAD capable plane)
Lol. We don't have proper response here. For J10 we need a Tejas MK2. Against the SU series and J11, J16 we need Dassault Rafale and SU 30 MKI, for single engine fighters like J7, J8 JH7 we need a Tejas MK1A.
Still MK2 is on preproduction phase.
Rafale squadron level is low.
SU 30 MKI needs upgradation.
Tejas MK1A order size is insufficient.
Looks in this decade if we don't put our shit together then we are royally fucked out. Since J31 is under testing.

Ofcourse they are in contested air space.UAVs are highly vulnerable and have limited impact in a Warzone: IAF Chief
What unexpected ?? if you consider news - ah64 to replace mi-25/35, c17 to replace il76 & chinook to replace mi26. Still IAF using & upgrading old ones. Mi24e, il76, mi26 lost in competition.Unexpected
Mi 35 is the test bed so we can easily integrate them with others and helis can be used till the end of this decade.Unexpected
Whenever they are needed , will be used we still don't have enough attack helis. What unexpected ?? if you consider news - ah64 to replace mi-25/35, c17 to replace il76 & chinook to replace mi26. Still IAF using & upgrading old ones. Mi24e, il76, mi26 lost in competition.
Why IAF still need mi25/35 ? counter terrorism ops ?
Why do you assume PoK will be taken militarily.yes guys seated by politicos to present brave face & sell POK dreams
may be it's time for you to take a break from social media for a few days. It's frustrating/depressing... inki kharab haalat ki wajah se ab meri personal life affect ho rahi hai since past 2-3 days
CATs warrior shown to be carrying SAAW in internal bay in this pic .Which standoff weapon & which UAV ?
Even Kamikaze drone were easily destroyed by short range AD systems, and no standoff weapons for drones.
Ngarm has dual pulse engine . So i assume it ll do end time meneuvering .Back in 2016 when IAF was saying that NGARM would be too bulky and was instead pushing for 1500 AGM-88E. Everything needs to shoved down their throats
https://www.defensenews.com/air/2016/03/10/indian-af-says-new-indigenous-missile-will-be-too-heavy/
Hmmm. Does seem overweight compared to something like AGM 88. Both have similar max range and warhead, but HARM seems to be half the weight.Ngarm has dual pulse engine . So i assume it ll do end time meneuvering .
Translation:-
The difference i found was Agm 88 is dual thrust . And ngarm is dual pulse . Is dual pulse supposed to have more weight ? Regarding range , ngarm wiki shows 150km . Might be more , as they always show a lesser range .Hmmm. Does seem overweight compared to something like AGM 88. Both have similar max range and warhead, but HARM seems to be half the weight.
