Happy Airforce day fellas.

Our Pradhan Sevak himself has twitted this pic.

It's a Mirage 2000 I with a Popeye A2G missile and its datalink pod, 2 1700 ltr drop tanks, 2 Mica IR on the outermost wing hardpoints and a single Mica em missile on the fuselage hdp. There's another munition / missile just after the Mica em which isn't clearly visible .

Do you mind how you address our armed forces?

IRDW -> Is a blog, not a news channel
Article -> Written by a guest on IDRW, not an official source, nothing. Just an opinion.

Even without it, where is the mithai btw? Your beloved HAL made anything even close to a flying transport? If not then by default we have to buy from others.

The Royal Airforce C-130Js has significant flying hours remaining and if we get them for cheap (like M2000 deal) I don't see any reason why we should not buy them?

You know, if we had bought 126 F-16 Block 70s during the 2012 MMRCA competition (leaving aside Rafale, Typhoon), we would not be scratching our heads on how to tackle the Chinese air force today. Not to mention we would not have to field Mig-21s during Feb 27th for ORPs.
Also would be taking orders from US.

Hey Guys, I hope someone here can pull out a rabbit from the hat. There is one Mig-29 rather two but I will stick to the first one, there is a Mig-29 with a black tail with white stripes marking, I have seen only on late Pushpinder Singh magazine, but sadly couldn't get the hold of the magazine nor have the image of it, as it is not seen in the interweb, can anyone from their personal collections have this particular Mig-29, thank you so very much.

Can anyone make a guestimate of the total cost of 114 fighters for Rafale, FA18, F21/16, Gripen E? With the assumption that a lot of fixed cost has been put for Rafales already, and also take into account weapons package, training, and other CAPEX (if Rafale is not selected). Make in India will increase the costs plus the accounting for inflation over the years

35 billion dollars if you make them in india.25 billion if imported. like first 36.This is for rafale.Rest assured its not going to happen.IAF will have to settle for another 36 rafales.

It will happen they need 114 jets and it would be mostly rafales but we will go for another mmrca 2.0 so that we would piss every other country by selecting rafale.

what's you smoking , do ever look into single engine deals, for instant example about Filipino F16V deal and the Thailand Gripen deal

if you think other counries too make deal like Indian Rafale, then yes $25-35 billion is correct

If we follow a better terms and negotiations F16 or Gripen deal won't go beyond $20 billion with bells and rings and all other things , (120 fighter jets )
