Meanwhile, Pakistan keeps getting the latest weapons and platforms, we are still struggling to churn out Tejas and ordering more Rafales.
I’m more than happy seeing them using Chinese engines like an obedient slave, will be helpful for us, let them suffer that chinese junk.

Rafale was a combat proven platform by the time we signed the G2G deal.

We buy military hardware like chanachur in piecemeal orders.

72k SiG rifles with no sign of further orders. BC takes 4 years to get LMG's for frontline soldiers. ... I don't know if its plain apathy at MoD level or forces are also to blame.
  1. Armed forces say they need "X" equipment.

  2. Foreign OEMs as well as DRDO/OFB/HAL pitches in.

  3. If "Leftist govt. at the center", then -
    • Govt. starts "competition" to select from foreign OEMs -
    • After 5 years of bribery, scandals, L1 is selected.
    • Next govt. comes and declared it as "scandal", court case starts.
    • Court gives a guilty verdict after 10 years, and orders are canceled.
  4. If "Rightwing govt. at the center", then -
    • DRDO/OFB convinces govt. that they can deliver
    • Initial testing and evaluation of the equipment prove it massively inadequate.
    • Armed forces ask for changes/improvement.
    • DRDO/OFB takes 3 years to deliver the improvements.
    • Armed forces finally accept it, now production starts at 4 pieces per year.
    • DRDO/OFB delivers all the required "X" in 10 years.
    • Army finds that "X" is now obsolete as 20 years have passed since floating its requirement.
  5. Army again floats a requirement for "X+", which is to be the next-generation of "X". (Go to Step 1)

Army took 7 years to rigorously test an Indian truck makers prototypes before making a piecemeal order.

By the time the orders were delivered, it was found that a certain other truck in their inventory had a slight edge over the locally procured ones though they cost *N times more... amusingly though, the push for the foreign trucks led to a scandal breaking out and the serving COAS then hogged a lot of media limelight.

Before the scandal died out, the Indian manufacturer had already upgraded his truck fleet and the obsolete trucks that Army took 7 years to test and approve were likely replaced or 'upgraded' where viable.

I was happy IA+GoI were on the same page with ordering small arms. Then the AK was forced down their throats... not saying its a bad rifle but it does wonders to the logistics supply chain which IA has always tried to streamline.

The forces alone are not to blame, but they are definitely a part of the problem.

Any more on the topic would be OT so..

not new but really good quality vid. from myanmar ,

if things escalate , Pakistani terrorists will be doing a lot of this

Regarding where the drone originated from or where it landed or where it delivered does not matter.

A strike package should land on the door steps of GHQ Pindi. I guarantee that there will be an immediate course correction.

The super sukhoi upgrade is doomed to get delayed.

Reason👇

Russia Facing Difficulties in Supplying Airborne Radars: Tikhomirov NIIP design bureau that produced the N035 radar has been working on an AESA model, the N036 Byelka. A small number of prototypes of such radars exist, but that the transmit/receive modules (TRM) in the active array itself were built with foreign, US-origin chips acquired through surreptitious channels. Russian defence firms rely almost entirely on a small number of suppliers for components, like the firm Istok, located in Frayzino outside Moscow. Unfortunately for the Russians, that company cannot come close to meeting demand.

Now please don't come up with UTTAM AESA logic... an operational UTTAM AESA won't be available before 2027.
