Two things would've happened.

As CIC of the Indian Armed Forces, the President would've got a detailed sitrep from the PM
President would've been asked to hold his trigger on 1. Article 360 (emergency), and 2. Declaration of war

Neither were invoked in our wars with Pakistan, but if used correctly, both can serve as legal, financial, and diplomatic force-multipliers for the government.
just curiuous,

In America, POTUS can only recommend war, but only congress has the authority to declare war.

similarly, in INDIA president is the supreme commanding officer of armed forces. who can declare war? president or pm?

The PM along with the support of his cabinet, president of India doesn't have much power

:lawl: :lawl: there are people like him in each and every corner of the street. if people like him is indeed from defense then they should be tried for treason for violating safe sm use policy. everyone wants to or pretends that he have deep connection to armed forces or know the insider information.. they are all pure rumor mills. they only want to get followers

he said with authority that govt has given order for deescalation back on jun 27th.. and i have been asking
"deescalation hogaya kya?" :lehappy: every day since then.
In the last meeting they have made new demands . They have asked us to vacate our new positions along the lac which we intrude after pla Salami slicing but they refused to vacate there positions. The mobilisation is still defensive in nature to protect our new positions. But we are ready now and GOI has understand completely that the war is on the doorstep. If any bullet's are fired then LAC will be like LOC. Some peaceful areas and some hot areas. The question is would it become more than border skimirsh because pla would not have any advantage in any short war.

Do tell me then who will tell us what is happening the other side. Obviously those who are paid for it. And the amount of money spent on them..
I am sure If Olive green fails everywhere people will talk of outsourcing soldiering. It has been done in the past and by everyone including great Marathas who employed Europeans and Pathans of all hues as their military commanders. Every Indian state had Gorkha troops in their Army be it Jaipur, Jodhpur or J&K etc etc..

And do tell me when did our beloved Jassos did not fail. Even in a country like Nepal- a jasoos heaven...

Talk of facts not of prejudices. Personal attacks have no meaning..
Please carry on.
Don't let me be a buzzkill.

according to Constitution of India, only Hon'ble President can declare war or conclude peace in consultation with cabinet led by PM.

At the very first sign of escalation Indian navy should move it's assets to strait of Malacca especially it's submarine force. Any delay in that would mean Chinese will move some of their submarines to Indian ocean. Fighting them at the narrow strait would be easier for us and their numerical superiority wouldn't matter. The question is who is going to relay the message to Indian navy to do that?
