I'm actually curious. Where exactly does PLAN plan on sailing these boats when conflict over Taiwan breaks out ? Both the drones as well as the carrier will be the first casualties.

This can only mean China'd be utilising these carriers during peace time for active maritime ISR . Apart from the Pacific it's the IOR which'd be their target. I won't be surprised in the least , if these carriers also includes large sized surface AUV & UUV . I hope IN takes due note of this development.

ACs & Ships usually have their own ADS which in this era of networking is IADS especially since we're discussing USN & JSDF Navy apart from interoperability between both navies. Then again the AC travels in a flotilla with its own escort destroyers , frigates , corvettes , fleet supply ships & submarines.

What sort of ADS do these drone carrier possess or escorts for that matter ?

Perks of having the most efficient shipbuilding yards in the world. Their per ship cost is probably 5x less than ours. This is why gormint should stop slacking and get yards like MDL, GSL and CSL to the 21st century. Maybe bribe the Koreans or Japs to help further modernise the yards.

drone carrier can also go with a group . i mean yea , cant be for taiwan invasion , they could just launch drones from land . nobody knows what this thing is for or what it does - maybe peace time or just testing out new class of ship .
