I have zero expectations of footage from GoI when we did not release any of Balakot strike & its aftermath except for some radar footage and an AIM-120C-5 that was successfully evaded by IAF.

My uncle served in NEFA with Jats. Can share some humiliating pictures of Chinese jokers in 'murga' pose but it would serve no purpose and will piss off a lot of folks.

That's true. Khalistanis used Akal Takth as a shield, so it was bound to get destroyed in the process. But the damage to Akal Takh was what initiated those body guards to shoot her.

There can be no excuse for her assassination. But we can't change history. We can only learn from it & make sure it doesn't repeats itself.
If you are shooting bullets from Akal Takth, R ap ing , Killing torturing from your own Sancto Sanctum - they lose the right to blame Govt in responding in kind.

I knew lots of Sikh servicesman in IA, and famouse for bravery. I read a 1962 book said they were tough than other wings for PLA, but what is this mindset behind this? Same reason as ur former PM got assisinated?

You can try your luck with them. Two years ago they beat the hell out of your units in Arunachal Pradesh.

BTW we have Tibetian units under the oath of HE Dalai Lama to fight till the last Han is on their lands.

Let the Chinese have their say. Their isolated leader has rushed to Russia after the formalization of Quad as a military probability.

They are here to sniff how confident we are with everything.

Let us give them proper replies.

The decorum must be maintained.

If he becomes successful like in case of Saudi and Iran then he can become one of the unmatched world leader basically in our language vishwaguru
Coming to the member issue u should do the necessity he had to run away from Tibet discussion as he was spreading propaganda on it

why does this "US News" website sound familiar, any of their past news stories familiar to DFI?
=====
SCOOP: U.S. intelligence helped India rout China in a clash late last year in the high Himalayas:
https://t.co/HY9YxIL5hb
Damn, was just going to post this.

Excerpts -
  • Last year (Dec 9 clash in Tawang), the US directly supplied intelligence to us to counter the Chinese attack.
  • US provided direct, actionable intelligence, including real-time satellite imagery of the Chinese strengths, build-up, and actions.
  • Several hundreds of Chinese troops armed with lethal melee weapons attacked but were repelled by alert Indian troops as we were waiting for them fully prepared.
  • The level of intelligence sharing between the US & India was unprecedented before.
---------------------------------------------------------

Basically, this confirms Chinese were trying to repeat Galwan at Tawang on Dec 9. It was a pre-planned attack and not a small scuffle/standoff.

Come out from Hollywood movies hangover where CIA seems to control everything.

Tell us what we lake in the sense of observing PLA at LAC? We have signal intelligence, satellites??

This is just Brown Sipoys giving their masters blow job.

America charged India 50000 dollar per outdated satellite picture during Kargil war.

probably ai detection , image quality and revisit time ( new image for a location every half hour instead of days ) .

no idea if US intel alerted us or not but we did sign BECA with USA , real time satellite intel sharing .

from what is happning in ukraine , US intel is impressive .

even if this did happen, murican PR ecosystem will repeat it a hundred times.
just like that winter gear supply thing, their foreign policy professionals kept inserting that point for months in every India related think tank discussion.

i don't think the take away is that them chaps provided some intel, rather they are informing their own audience that some of the "foundational agreements" are getting operationalised. it's all buisiness for them.

on the winter gear thing, i suspect after some years we will find out that it was not the case that there was shortage but rather murican diplomacy at play. part of the mandate for murican diplomacy is to make sure it looks like they have a hand in everything. since i pay special attention to what is getting amplified and what is not amplified, in the winter gear case it was being mentioned in murican think tank discussions by people associated with state department, which i thought was odd as to why are they insisting on mentioning such a small thing again and again. it is likely the case that they insisted on supplying those 30,000 pieces of kit just so that they can say that one statement that "U.S aided India in the standoff against china".

our domestic discourse misses on these fine nuances, since fundamental assumption is "we all are screwed, and no body knows how to do their own jobs". this is something we collectively need to get over with, atleast it can't be a starting point for every discussion.
