I understand this is based on cited academic papers - and apparently India is #3 on aero engines - which is of course BS as we don't have a single aircraft in service that has an Indian engine. Most Indian tallent anyways moves to US/Western countries, some work in Indian divisions of MNC and just a smaller % actually work in enhancing Indian capabilities. This sure is measuring something but not necessarily something we can directly add to our comprehensive national power.
