The idea should be to create those value addition capabilities here. Global trust for Cheenis is going down now that the West has openly stated their adversarial stance. Chinks have no idea what they are fighting against and how early they fired the first shot. All those tactical numbers(exports, trade deficit) going up in the short term won't help, the scary thing for them should be the fact that their biggest trading partners are actively looking to decouple- which is a strategic blunder. From lack of denial of technologies to market barriers, now everything will have a China-angle to it. They should have played the game for a while, built some meaningful alliances (not with failed countries like NoKo and Pak), created some global institutions (not bribing people in WHO) and then started to dislodge the Muricans. They might have succeeded.

And just want to add one more thing the fuss about all this is media is trying to show the village as it was constructed on land grabbed when the stand-off was going on and showing it as breaking news.
