I wouldn't worry about that. In few years we will be churning out LCA Mk2 and our MIC will grow big too, if not to a level of China.

Plus we are not Pakistan that we cannot sustain the economics of extra flying and spare parts.

We are way better off than Taiwan , it only has a few old f16 , i dont think US even gives them any spares .

What's the big deal about it ? We do it to Pakistan, and Pakistan does it to us. Our pilots burn flight hours needlessly just to qualify for a monthly allowance, let it be burned on chasing Chinese jets.

Second, we need not scramble jets all the time, a robust AD system with good coverage can keep an eye on Chinese misadventure as well, reducing the required response time from IAF.



Why that is a problem ? So doesn't PLAAF gets stressed over flying their jets responding to our violation or while doing incursion ?

Our resolve was tested with WC Abhi in Paki custody but the same 'shrill' gang went apeshit crazy.

Even we have our own MIC, although it may not be as advanced as that of China, but we chug out interceptor aircraft with decent multi-role capabilities at rate of 32 aircraft per year given IAF places big enough order.

We are already self sufficient as far as BVR, WVR, ARM, PGM, ASM are concerned

Developmental money hasn't been cleared by govt not even for amca
See iaf commitment to mk2 u will understand it has huge amount of time to enter service

There are enough funds to build the first prototype, the issue with funds is only for the 2nd and 3rd prototypes.
IAF has already committed to 6 squadrons(108 jets) as far as Tejas Mk2 is concerned.
In the interim, they can bump up the Tejas Mk1A from 73 to 150.

i know i wrote 'cross LAC' but its not exactly that . there is supposed to be a 5 / 10 km no fly zone around the LAC , they breach it and approach the LAC , then fly away .

why not . we shot a 'nuclear capable' cruise missile into Pakistan and nothing happened .if jet/heli actually crosses the LAC and we shoot it down , worse case we will have to pay it and kandi ninda will say kadi ninda , for all their bullshit i am 100% sure Chinese will avoid war at full cost.

For a relatively small country they're not doing too bad - they are upgrading their legacy F-16s to V configuration and buying 60 something more new ones. Combined with their M-2000 fleet and 100+ indigenous light fighter - that half the size of the IAF.
