Not exactly. I'm crossing Malda (WB ) right now. As today is Shri Hanuman Jayanti, I can see many saffron flags in Whole Bengal.

I believe these Hindus are fighting well. Repeatedly Reminding them "You are gone case" is not good for their moral.

If it's true then They are just punishing poor foot soldiers for inability of big Generals.

Whole life these generals kept busy in kickback deals and deprived foot soldiers from basic gears. How come a foot soldier will respond when there is No clear cut instructions for front line soldiers, confusing rule of engagement, failure of military intelligence about impending Chinese aggression, not sending appropriate man power to counter Chinese threats. These were also few glaring deficiency from our side and I haven't seen any action against it until you said "punishment posting" and which is basically nothing.

Basically the posting no one wants because it is useless and not much benefits/respect.

A very mild form of punishment where you dont think commander is entirely incompetent, but want to point out that certain lapses will not be overlooked.

SJha said that Chinese do 4 things : encroachment, then posture, then try to take the initiative. If that doesn't works, then quick reaction in multiple points. So, India is kinda in stage 4 now. So it'd be likely they will try to do something. It's India's choice to deny and deter them. We can do this by building Infrastructure and more should be done.

We are not in that league due to our historical position and russian factor . But We are still in the game ...
