I remember Nachiketa & Ajay Ahuja being shot down with these manpads (Stingers) during the Kargil war. So quite effective against jets as well.

Now we can safely say ATAGS is gone case seeing how army is going with it.

But on a positive note this maybe a slight modification in design which is recommended and don't take much in doing that change.
