China deploys 100 of its PCL-181, 155mm howitzers in response to our deployment of K9 Vajras & M777

PCL-181 weighs 25 tonnes & can fire upto 40 Km (wiki). China has already inducted them.

ATAGS weighs 18 tonnes (a whopping 7 tonnes less!) and shoots upto 45 Km. Has traversed 500 Kms in Ladakh and the winding Himalayan roads. And what does our DG Artillery do - send it back to the drawing board!

When they say double the range of m777 they are nt talking abt normal artilary .. probably ramjet powered artilary . IIT m is developing such artillary with range of 60km plus with guidance kit .
M777 can also fire one such atillary designed by usa .

Truck mounted guns are always heavier than towed artillery. For the ATAGS it will require a truck to deploy it in battlefield, while the PCL-181 wouldn't.

these vr headsets can never create real life scenarios, it is just like playing games, moreover there is no mobile gpu in world which can render images like in real life.
and the most imp thing pressure in that environment which our soilders exp during ct ops can never be achived by vr headsets

its not just vr headset ,this look like the ones companies use for motion capture.

there is a external camera tracker , mounted on walls + white balls on hand gun for tracking.

its just silly propaganda , how are they gonna train an army with these.

Whatever army procures it trials the shit out of it .. So no question on quality in this regard . K9 has passed all the test on our side which is more difficult terrain than theirs .
Last time i heard ATGS deal is stucked as it dint meet performance parameters in summer trials in rajastan .
M777 can be carried to the last miles on those rugged terrain .

We dnt have truck mounted artillary as of now . But there are many local option available .


Ramjet artillary shell is need of the hour . One developed by IITM shd be acclerated . M777 ER which we dnt have can fire 70km range XM113 artillary shell .. May be army ll order some of those ..
