Unki marzi bc nobody is interested in joining their 4 foot ka Lilliput army.
this more about nepal aur india ka relationship ki gaand mein ungli dalne ki baat hai. nothing to do with joining their chicom tattu army.

when chicom calls any nation friendly, it usually means chicoms now have full control over politics, trade, economy, media, security and resources of that particular colony, thats what happening in nepal right now.

Long conventional wars between countries are largely a thing of the past now. With the exception of long term invasion + foreign occupations like AFG or Iraq.

A situation like the current one between India and China cannot start a long war, it's not really justifiable. On the other hand, if there is some severe threat or provocation (think 26/11 or 9/11) - then we may see a more grand, long-lasting war. But even those types of wars will be executed in much quicker fashion than they would have been in the past.
Previous wars were quick as no holding of territory was involved.
This one is about territory and there will be a series of attacks and counter attacks.

What else should we expect we failed to remove oli he will now do everything in his power to buddy up to china and fuck with us in every way possible.

I would personally prefer mild sanctions on nepal to bring them back in line but we are too busy doing roti-beti nonsense.

sanctions will only validate OLI's claims and it will further push nepal into chinese arse. we will lose all or any remaining support from nepal if we do so;

our current govt is doing right thing, unlike porkistan, they will soon come to their sense..

Do not view nepal from oli's lens.

Even before him nepal's anti-India rehotic had been reaching new heights it's just that his actions have brought all this to forefront.

Nepal has slowly but steadily seen a large increase in anti-India and pro china and pakistan sentiments over the past few years.

Their inability or what I would call unwillingness to stop ISI from using their country as a staging ground to run ops even though India is so generous towards them speaks a lot.

Oli and his claims be damned India will and must use a combination of diplomatic and economic tools to bring them down.

Playing the good guy won't work in this neighborhood.

Sanctions on Nepal is not a good idea. The American style sanctions rarely work.

India has a hard job of reclaiming its influence over Nepal. This means better economic links, not worse.

Right now border closures may be due to corona. Long term we should not close border but rather keep records of cross-border movement.

Article 359 cant be used to suspend Art 20 and Art 21.. after an amendment to this effect
there are many other emergencies - Financial, State, Armed Aggression/ Terrorism, Internal Rebellion, etc. In those cases, Art. 359 can't be used to remove Arts. 20 and 21. For National Emergency, Art. 359 is absolute.

Its not just Nepal. ISI is trying to open new fronts for India from all directions. Don't forget more than 90% of the Bangaldeshis now hate India. They are radicalized as hell. :dude:

India should close borders with Nepal and work on liberation of Madhesh and Kiratdesh like we did with East Pakistan in 1971 Madhesh can join India and Kiratdesh will be an independent country like Bhutan
Like during the 2015 blockade.. they will grovel before friendly elements in India, to put pressure on GOI to end the siege, and give some vague promises.. and then go back on them to change the constitution again to treat madesis as second class citizens..

He is not wrong though it's not us who are sitting in Chinese territory.
Reminds me of the Indian Conclave summit back few years ago, when Musharraf was invited for his book launch, when he was asked that why did you made the move to take Kargil and other area now in POK...
He said, "there was nobody there, a no-mans land, no soldier patrolling, so we thought why won't we just grab it".

And the rest is history. Now its like history repeating itself. With this statement, they are asking us to provoke a short war, for which they already well prepared. They are there and will stay there, doesn't matter whether we like it or not. Unless, we pre-emptive strike first and let the short war becomes ten folds of what Kargil was.

Not just Madheshis but Kiratis are treated as 2nd class citizens as well and let me tell you that Gorkhas in Indian Army are not Bahuns(Brahman) or Chhetri (Rajput) they’re Kiratis (Mongolians)

Exactly people on this forum who are thinking of what's happening in nepal as a short term or knee-jerk effect are failing to see the systematic intolerance that is growing against Indians and Hindus in general.

Bangladesh hasn't started making big moves against India due to hasina but once she is gone people here will again be surprised on how this happened.

The problem is that both the people of nepal and bangladesh have failed to understand how generous India has been to them throughout their history.

Nepalis who come to India enjoy great access to our institutions and jobs alike while their govt enjoys huge amount of aid and development money from our govt.

All this has resulted in them taking us for granted and not being able to appreciate the help we have provided them with.

They have simply grown egoistic and now view such things as their rights and not something that was given to them on kindness.

India should and India has in fact in the past shown that it can stop it's generosity and cause problems if troubled too much.

Let them land on the ground and understand how good we have been to them all that time let them realize what they have lost and what more they can lose once that happens you will see things change real fast.

People here advocating for even stronger economic ties and more aid must understand that you are feeding a spoilt child he will continue to take everything but never appreciate it.

In case of nepal it's more like saanp ko dudh pilana.
