i am betting there be escalations in SCS and LADAKH by mid august and there will be a war which will crash American stock market
so if war happens, i will cash-in rich

Sir please correct me, afaik, the main problem of US EUA is, the buyer won't be able to use those in offensive action against other countries without US approval. there isn't any bar in using those in def.
present and near future (next 20/25 years) geopolitical situation doesn't hint any US restriction against using those against China.
for a second let us forget COVID-19 and present aggression from China. now let assume an Indo-China conflict in the near future. I don't think we will go to war without US backing as now we are still not going to war even with US backing, COVID-19 and all these fiasco. so if there will be any war, it'd have US support. then there won't be any problem of EUA.

against Pak, I think we'd be good without those birds so not bringing that point here.

so imo, 2 more squadrons of Rafale and some (atleast) 5/6 squadrons of F16/F18 (be it used one) will be optimum choice that we can have.

(please note we should have mwf, tedbf/orca in the meantime).

20-25 years is a very small time frame for any fighter jet life...and we are assuming that US will support us in war with china....

I am all for adding more jets... that's needed but not from US of A . Buy more rafael's...they are at par with US hardware and french have supported us when needed like russians....

Here's how you counter the F16, (the French pilots does it again)

1. At first part is to why you shouldn't force an MKI, Rafael or Mirage to a STR fight against a high STR platform such as F16.

Contrary to popular belief, a Chengdu J10 could give a surprise motha fucker type maneuver to our jets too. Its a copy of F16 but with canards. Could be very lethal in WVR fights.

2. Second part, from @10:31 is how you fight a high STR jet (F16). A good fighter pilot would use the Mirage awesome speed and rate of climb, then use altitude to its advantage and will try to turn the rate fight into → Vertical rate fight.

Mirage's delta wing produces better lifts, and thus also act a giant air brake, and thus would be used to lower its speed to have better nose authority to take a shot against an F16 when an opportunity arises.

3. Why lowering the speed at high altitude can be useful? When you nose dive at low speeds, you have better stability and pitch control. But most importantly a pilot would allow Mirage to cut the one loop tight maneuver of F16 into a half loop cut. (I mentioned in Rafael post already)
