If war happens that too in such harsh weather whn winter is approaching casualties going to be too high on both sides . This time rockets , short range ballistics like prithivi/ shaurya or cruse missile like brahmosh ll be dropped and 100s of 4th gen planes ll be dropping bombs on each other sides . Probably it ll be 1st war of that scale after world war 2 .i dont see a major success for china . Only its myth of superpower ll be challanged and long term trade consequences .. more hard days for chinese companies .

Yes it'll be. A limited conflict or a short Skirmish. They'll like 100-200 casualties on Indian side & then withdraw.
That's an over simplification in my view. With the amount of resources invested by both India and US in the respective theatres, I don't think either one is going back without substantial tactical gains at the very minimum. These ain't stand alone theatres. One affects the other.

Simple question. Can we get the PLA to at least withdraw to the April 2020 positions which is the minimum that has to be done to regain our trust.

The higher the level of talks the more the expectations. First let the experts do the ground work and see that both China and India arrive at a mutually acceptable solution. Then let the big boys a. k. a Political leadership do the signing and photo ops.

A high level meeting producing zero results is a waste of time and effort. I believe it is more wise to first complete the homework and then get the Ministers to endorse it.

1. Chinese speak in forked tongue.
2. Withdrawal to April 2020 position will be seen as loss to Xitler especially since CCP party congress is coming
3. They are just trying us to vacate heights that we have readjusted our troops & once that is done they will occupy the same
4. Everything else is just bluster/smoke

experience is everything.
experience against a professional adversary is worth more than any number of internal military exercises with their friends.
That experience was costly .. In present scenario they have lost projects and trades of 100s of billion .There is no hope for huwei 5g in india anymore as well.. It also has a future cost . India ll go for strategic distancing in economy/trade and more closer alliance with USA..

What's the weather going to be in Tibet & Aksai Chin regions in Nov Dec? Eastern ladakh will be extremely inhospitable that's for sure & our supply lines will be nearly cut.
Is that the same for Chinese? I guess they do have all weather roads & railway networks in Tibet so situation may not be so dire for them in terms of logistics in winter.
We need to have a quick realisation of our situation & don't trust the Chinese.

Agree to the point. However, given that the learning curve is steep for them, it automatically means 'weak tactics' on their part. To make things worse, the assumptions they based their strategies on don't hold true. I would be happy to see their list of learnings expand, while we continue the 'readjustments'. By the time they are enlightened we would have:india:

Also, when it comes to India, BRO now has a rocket booster attached to its ass.. and is building infrastructure in ladakh at a break neck pace.. The threat of Sub sector North being lost to China in a war, which was in the realm of a distant possibility.. now has assumed the form of an immediate threat.. and now India has sped up infrastructure buildup by a huge factor and we are digging like mole rats..

Let’s look at this from PLA perspective, what have they gained so far:

1) Gained some experience on long term deployment on LAC
2) Managed to build permanent defences in some sectors
3) conducted two or three military exercises at 12000 ft
4) real experience dealing with a professional military
5) gain inputs on behaviour of IA during an escalation
6) managed to implement tactical moves which are a level up from doklam scenario.
7) managed to gain practical experience in high altitude mountain warfare
8) gained intel on logistic routes that IA would use in these sectors
9) possible permanent foothold on F4 - F8, which they anyways. posts on ridges got added this time.

Anything more to add...
Keep it purely PLA, not CCP.
Too much time on their hand for doing this Quixotic attempts. The running away will never go away however much they gain from these push & observe attempts. Jab AI inki g@nd lage kutne, abbu bhi baithe baithe lagenge mootne

Coupta’s chelas cant let of the habit of creating false equivalences.
CCP is the aggressor,India is the defender here.
This headline is akin to saying “Jo ho gaya so ho gaya, Thoda adjust karlo” to India.
"Ego" "Face saver"

What these people mean is that India should bendover and compromise.
only to then post articles about how Indian Modi govt is cowardly and why did they compromise?
Every article is writtent with a domestic political spin in mind.
Fcking shills.
Expect many more such articles are bullets and shells start flying, this is why China has state control over media

Since GoI/EAM ne maun vrat rakha hai.
we will try to see our capabilities through the threats issues by GobarTimes ppl.
According to their editor, "Indian soldiers will suffer and die in the cold winter of Ladakh" etc etc
Now even our good EAM is trying to string them around, there is no desperation in them.
Perhaps we can manage even through winter, idk, but they cannot keep up their buildup during the winter maybe, remember the quality of their troops is shit, their strengths only lie in logistics/infrastructure, Industry & materiel what they have.

Limiting the conversation to just PLA here, idea is to check what they have gained so far.

I personally feel the time has come for India to make a push to settle the border dispute once and for all.

The time has come to define the lac if by force then so be it.

All this 5 point plan 10 point plan nonsense won't help us we will be fooled again and they might make a push again later.

It's better that we settle this issue once and for all.

Its good.. it debunks the whole "Congress is weak on China, and wants India to concede to China" allegation. Also, maintains the pressure on Modi gov. to not enter some shady deal with the Chinese.. Atleast, he is not advocating surrender to the Chinese without a fight..
It debunks shit. His party's actions (not to mention that secret agreement he signed) is the exact opposite of this. He can ask the government to nuke Beijing for all I care. Actions speak louder than words. And actions during his party's reign are enough to tell whether or not his party was weak on China.

And fuck Congress.
