*Nehru annexed Hyderabad- Operation Polo 1948
*
Nehru annexed Goa- Operation Vijay 1961

*1962
- Nehru took a bold decision of launching an offensive against China though the End Result was different.

*1947-1948 Indo-Pak War- Most neutral assessments agree that India under Nehru was the victor of the war as it was able to successfully defend about two-thirds of the erstwhile princely state, including the Kashmir Valley, Jammu and Ladakh.

*1947-1950- The territories of the Princely States were politically integrated into the Indian Union under Nehru.
1962 offensive was started by Monkeys not Nehru. He was smoking cuban Peace pipe all along & trying to avoid war...

Rest all, were Patel's decision. Has it not been for Sardar, we would be looking for a VISA to go to HYD today!!!!!!!!!1

Upset China gives lecture on democracy to India

India definitely can learn a lot from China on this front and I say this unironically.

Context is that he wants to say that any one having Chinese junk like cellphones, laptops and telecom equipment will be the next target of CCPee, i.e. Cyber Warfare.
So all of them?

..... He saw thru the eleven, s real agenda and had his eye popped out....
That's a bit of a stretch. Modi was taken for a ride by the Chinese and led up a garden path. Joining a fight that the Chinese started is indeed indicative of courage but not of foresight. With almost no major purchases apart from the Rafale and an almost criminal neglect of artillery procurement has led us to a very tough position. Modi has shown more grit than almost any other Prime Minister but that alone isn't and won't be enough.

Easier said than done.

Contrary to popular belief geopolitics is an arena where countries plan things over the course of decades.

Even one small mistake can set a country's ambitions and plans behind by a good 2-3 decades.

Change in govt does not result in change of power dynamics.

Matter of fact is due the past mistakes of congress Tibet pok Aksai china along with parts of arunachal paradesh are gone for good.

Now we have only 2 options fight an all out of war thus risking more of our territory and assets or accept the current status quo.

We have chosen the latter.

You see past decisions do matter no matter what anyone says.

Tibet is gone and it's not coming back same goes for the manufacturing industry that we couldn't grab.

Now just because we have changed govts doesn't mean that these will come back in a platter.
Rightly Put.. can say for sure that Mudi did learned from Nehru's debacles & is laughing at eleven sitting in delhi. Man Learn from past and apply that in future.

Earlier, We used to hide tibetans whenever a high ranking US official will visit .. now we are ensuring that they get a front seat... Nothing is permanent in this world and Again as @mist_consecutive said, chinks are trying to be world power too soon and have already squandered the advantage...

Well Things are not on Mudi's side even today. We all know how defence deals works. So while father antony was sitting on files for 10 years almost, Modi had All rafale's delivered in flat 2 -3 years time. I am hearing a followup order of 36 is on table and oppositon can cry all they want.. mudi will deliver it... He is mopping money for them....

Yes, Eleven did tried to take him on garden path but he saw through it. First instinct is always to avoid any aggressive manoeuvres . which he did. Atleast he understood that

IMO, The money he , Parikar & kadi ninda have invested on defence is pretty good. Do u think LCA tejas would have seen day light had it not been Parikar & mudi combo at top !!!!!

Khangress wud have kept tejas in development for another 2 decades to buy russian Junk... That;s another reason that khangress is pissed off.... commission on defence deals is not coming .. and they are loosing all future big ticket purchases too ..

Meanwhile Netaji Subhash in real life

How dare these Fu©kers denegrate the name of Netaji by associating him with a cult

People call him leftist because he was fighting against British (who were fucking capitalists obviously). But he didn't cared about ideology, but he cared about freedom. In this sense he's more nationalist rather than a communist. Well now commies aren't nationalists anyways.

I agree with most except the China war, avoidable imo and brought on by Nehru's cussedness in dealing with the military. Nehru gets a bad rap with most on the RW but I see him as one of our great leaders, no matter if flawed in some ways. Hindsight is always 20/20 but with Patel dying early, we had no other leader of such a high stature and the scales still tip in his favour, imo.
From Independence until his death, he was the most popular political leader.. Eyewitness accounts during his political campaigns/ speeches attest to the wild popularity he had. We must remember that the Hindus in 1947 were much more diverse, than they are now.. The traditions, clothing, the ability to communicate in a common language were not there.. We were also a country with an abysmal literacy rate of 12 percent, and were dirt poor.. Today, Hindi is flourishing even in the south.. Attire and traditions are converging..and India has much more material wealth..Also, Nehru did not impose his daughter on the congress..
It was the "Syndicate" in Congress who thought they could have Indira as their sock puppet/ Gungi gudiya.. They badly miscalculated as Indira went full "Fifty Shades of grey" on the Syndicate and established her dominance..
So, India after independence was fragile, and Nehru did a pretty good job in sustaining the republic when most Goras had bet on India's demise in a decade or two..
The China fiasco is the one great blot on his reputation, and he died a broken man.. He might as well have lived on for a few more years, if he had not screwed up on the China front. That a hard core realist like Patel died so early in 1950 did not help..

India to acquire 30 US-built MQ-9 Reaper drones from United States

With an objective to enhance the offensive capabilities of the Indian forces, the government will be acquiring 10 US-built MQ-9 Reaper or Predator B armed drones each for the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, may take the final call next week about this deal worth $3 billion, a source in the government said.
