Thanks for your kind words neptune.i agree with you.i don't know why admins on PDF deleted f-16 post.recently I shared Tom Cooper comments on PDF and even asked members to find the truth.basically I asked the same question there regarding f-16 and some members ridiculed me.i know it's very difficult to save f-16 from a missile.from different online videos,I have spotted smoke trails.a smoke trail at low altitude and we know paf was flying low so I am sure something bad happened.i am also patriotic but I support truth.

Now we have much better understanding of what has happened, after reviewing lot of videos of incident. 3 Parachutes, two we can prove. Third also exist. Two planes going down we can prove. All videos saved.

Broad Location of crash site identified. Now pain staking work looking and geo tagging that site.

Here is what appears to be the starboard side of the Mig-21 horizontal stabilizer, the building and landscape should make it easier to gelocate the wreckage:





I think one of those parachutes that people keep talking about may have been the drogue parachute from the Mig-21, it is visible in the wreckage after all. It's always also possibly that drogue parachute from a Pakistani aircraft was visible to if one was indeed shot down.

PAF had their AWACs up, he didn't have his ECM pod installed and he was ready to dog fight them. I don't think concealing himself by remaining EMCON silent was happening for him that day. Since he was chasing him I think he was going to get in close with R-73 and if that missed after he pulled out further he would have fired R-77. He just never got the chance. The radar in the Bison is not powerful enough to use R-77 to its max range, the MKIs should have been alongside of him unleashing hell.

Could be, IMHO the lack of not having long range BVRAAM in IAF arsenal is disappointing. Hopefully the acquisition of Meteor and development of our own long range aam might fill this gap, but a recent post on livefistdefence gave me a shocker, apparently IAF is still flying with Medium range AAM at best maybe this is why SU30 didn't engaged or the playbook (rules of engagement) didn't allowed them to do so.

Tom Cooper on F-16 forum said as per his sources the F-16 pilots fired their missiles 40kms away which caused them to fail. He went on to post link of how paki pilots are given passing marks even though they don't get the concepts of flying F-16.

But If my knowledge serves me right, AIM120D can be fired from a range of 100Km ? However maybe the effective hitting range is 40Km, whatever the case may be, IAF pilots who got engaged by AIM120D might now have a way to counter it as they've experienced several lock on's (4 to 5 on just the SU30 MKI! shocker indeed). Maybe the PAF wanted to down our crown jewel as correctly pointed in the article.

Plus as per post by Livefistdefennce ... the PAF Awacs was flying too, any move by SU30s could've been painted.

Gents please have a look at 0.19 onwards ... interesting!
1. looks like single engine class fighter (at least two in the vicinity).
2. There was an immediate High G turn, possibly evading a lock on.
3. F-Pole, notching (nope) manoeuvre ... standard NATO tactics ... its quite hard to deduce though if it took an immediate 45 degree turn.
4. For missile to bleed less energy, the pilot would use altitude advantage over the enemy. Mig 21B was at higher altitude ? From the very start of the video, 1 jet was way above than the other.
5. During the turn, either both jet got shot or one of them took a High G turn to evade a missile from above.

That's my take on it.
