Yup...it's kind of like a huge city where you know everything is excellent, almost all the current problems you face have a solution there...but the only nuance is that to reach that city you need to cross a small stream and there's no bridge.

This stream is our current battery technology and that bridge would be a higher power density battery.
From better Laser Aiming Module to Powered Exoskeleton to individual level radar to coil guns...everything's waiting for a better battery.
Ya'll Nibbiars Another problem is the miniaturization of many components which is not as a big problem as the power pack, but also what will drive the system?. A engine or a electric propulsion, and also neuro link, Fly by light system which is still in the development and etc.

Not with how energy inefficient current day power gen systems are.

We really need some cold fusion shit to get this done in a meaningful manner.
If the rumours of a room temp superconductor are true then we might have a MJOLNIR type suit in 30 years
Ya'll Nibbiars and them you son's will be suiting in that Armoured Exoskeleton Maddox and making havoc on the enemies.

:hehe:

Yup, as you miniaturization won't be that big of an issue. We're currently in a world where some civilian technologies have surpassed military one. One very good example of microprocessors. Even those used on low end phones have now surpassed military systems. If miniaturization is concerned then we're already working with 4nm systems. So it's kinda sorted.

As for things like propulsion an all, I don't think we're going to see much of a quantum leap in those field. Good ol motors are going to do the majority of work for a very long time. Or at max we may see the use of more compact motors like axial flux and all

Ya'll Nibbiars Do you want to live in a Termonator world?.

:hehe:

And on a serious notes, And also it's a human tendency for a war. How much you want to separate them, they will not, as long as there are human there would actually troops on the battlefield despite all the automations. The drone would be only to increase the number, the force multipliers, and you will always need trops on the filed.

War is a Human concept well a natures concept. Not a machine one.

Which anime is this?
Ya'll Nibbiars The MADOX.

Less headache.
We've yet to reach the level of AI or ML where a robot, especially in military use can be relied on to replace a human. And in case of a remote controlled bot, you're still using a human.

But compare that to an Exoskeleton, definitely not as capable as a robot but way more easier to integrate in a squad. So much so that even the operator won't realise that he's "controlling" something and I'll simply blend with his own biomechanics.

Another day, Another obscure DeFeNcE sTaRtUp
This time it's Werywin Defence, earlier (LMT products are no longer listed) they had a JV with LMT but now it seems they've partnered with Smith & Wesson. All of the revolvers and 3 out of 4 pistols are S&W. One pistol that's not S&W is a "80% Glock" which is basically an aftermarket Glock kit sold in US
