DRDO

It is good to hear that the government has setup a high powered committee of ex Army officers and bureaucrats to re-organize DRDO.

I would have recommended a few business men in the committee to introduce discipline, accountability, and responsibility in the organization.

Failures are to be discouraged and successes rewarded. Like big rewards for Moon landing scientists.

A method has to be developed to retire/eject old inefficient people. Newer, more promising scientists are to be brought in with rewards for their timely success.
Sir you are talking like a Soviet CPSU political commissar deputed to some nomenklatura organisation during cold war .
Chandrayan 2 failed , and now it succeeded.
Yes bonuses to those scientists who are part of any successful project should be provided but it's not good to penalise the same scientists for failures.

I'm not too fond of those who are so comfortable in their DRDO jobs and oppose reorganization.

By the way, there is no Soviet Union and there are no political commissars anymore. Even China has removed them

See that immediate reaction of the missile to fly upwards ? That’s called lofted trajectory, and what is happening is that missile reaches a high altitude which allows it to maintain its energy levels while also having a clear LoS to the enemy aircraft.

This is a clear characteristic of a mature, long-range BVR.

Lovely ❤

Not with how energy inefficient current day power gen systems are.

We really need some cold fusion shit to get this done in a meaningful manner.
If the rumours of a room temp superconductor are true then we might have a MJOLNIR type suit in 30 years
Not sure about the MJOLNIR but the ODST armor is definitely within our reach.

Arrre ChaCha...kar di na phir se wohi North Korea/Libiya/Wadia jaisi baat.

Failure are to rewarded so that you appreciate the the person for taking initiative and motivate others to develop a scientific temperament.
Successes are to be "normalized" not treated like something godly so that more and more people can strive for it.

Hein! How's can a canoe be an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle?

Arka Aerospace makes good ol Quadcopters. So I'm guessing by "wearable" they mean man portable UAV
I was thinking they were talking about some kind of small version of switchblade that a Marcos can carry since its written for marcos so maybe you are right it might be a lil Quadcopter like watchdogs

Noice

With each drone weighing 5kg you can pretty comfortably fit a ~1kg warhead in it. That can theoretically take out MBT in top attack mode. All you need to do is add some sort of rudimentary AI that assigns each submission to a separate target and can redirect it incase the target needs a second hit...which incidentally is not something impossible to achieve given how Russian AShM cruise missiles are doing this same maneuver for decades.

Funny how China copied US BAT and SBS program from 90s made them but more efficient.

Any information on Program LRSAM?
Astra Mk IV believed to be Triple Pulse Rocket Motor
Mobile Point Defence Missile System - 2 believed to be on the range of upto 12km
RudraM-2A seems to be air to air variant reaching a very high altitude, and for roles not possible with any traditional AAMs.
