Possibly it is fitted for but not installed to lower the operational costs , that's a SOP to cut down costs. Since deployment reduces missile life and increases maintenance costs and missiles are not cheap and foreign ones are limited in stocks.

Just my 2 cents
I don't think it applies to ground based containerised missiles in my opinion.

This is probably the result of a viable SAM option.

Explicit infos on Shakti ASAT Missile, reveals details of 1st and 2nd stage of K4 SLBM as well. Credits to my friend Debmalya Das who took these pics.
Reached the altitude of 300km in 3 minutes (283 km in 168 to be precise). Can the Gyani folks enlighten me about the BMD applications of it in the Indo-Pak context. Read on the Porki forum that Ghauri took 10 minutes to travel around 1000 km.

Plus found this.

You have OSA-AK for SAM and ZU-23-4 is for AAA in the formation.

Its always the case even with Tunguska in the similar formation.

Experts Government PSU is much much more safer than private sector in cyber security matters. Because of most of the government equipments do not have air gaps. Private sector doesn't find need to invest money in cyber security meanwhile government is spending that. That's why most of the time weapon espionage of india is quite low.
Chinese side most of the time attacks the Civil supply chains instead of attacking government development agencies.

Copter project at Honda to get off the ground

The long-awaited Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd’s helicopter maintenance and overhaul project proposed at Honda in Sattari taluka will get off the ground as French company Safran (the joint-venture partner) on Friday announced the start of construction work for building premises in three months’ time.

Officials of Safran and HAL said the greenfield project over 1,000 sq. mtr of area at the Honda industrial estate will be ready for commissioning by June 2021 and will go in for expansion in capacity by 2025.

“We believe in local talent. The project will employ Goans who will be sent to France for training, and it will create employment for the state,” said the officials of both the companies.

The officials disclosed that designing of the plant facility is complete and recruitment will commence shortly. They said that both the Goa IDC and the Goa Investment Promotion Board have played a role in putting the project back on track.

The announcement was made at the Indo-French conclave held in Candolim, which was attended by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik, Consul General of France in Mumbai Sonia Barbry, senior French embassy officials, representatives of French companies in India and members of the Goan industry.

The project had been announced in 2016 by Manohar Parrikar during his tenure as defence minister. Thanks to being dormant for several years, it had been feared that the project would not take off in the state.

Representatives of about 80 Indo-French companies participated in the conclave which resulted in signing of letters of intent by about six companies.

The conclave focused on investments in shipping and logistics, aerospace, defence and green technology for smart buildings.

Promising all support to French companies seeking collaborations with Goan companies, the Chief Minister said the state’s infrastructure is set to improve due to the Mopa airport.

He added that the IPB has also been streamlined now and would give single-window clearance in 30 days time.

Barbry struck the right chord with members of the Goan industry when she started her speech in Hindi.

“France loves Goa,” the Consul General said, adding that her country had close ties with the state in naval operations and with the Goa University.

France also takes active part in the annual Serendipity festival in the state, she said, adding that India can count on support from France through the French embassy.

There are about 550 Indo-French companies currently operating across India, of which handful are in Goa. These includes pharma player Sanofi, Accor Hotel, KIneco-Kaman, Albea, etc., it was revealed at the conclave.

DRDO opens Igniter Complex in Pune
Recently, State Minister of Defence Shripad Naik inaugurated the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) Igniter Complex at High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL) in Pune. HEMRL is a premier laboratory of DRDO and primarily engages in developing Rocket and Gun Propellants, Pyrotechnic Devices, High Explosive Systems and synthesis of high energy molecules.

HEMRL has created a state of the art facility for design, processing and evaluation of ignition systems. The facility consists of process, assembly & storage buildings and a design centre. Remotely controlled sophisticated equipments such as Sieve Shaker, Planetary Mixer, Granulating Machine, Pelleting Machine etc are installed in the process buildings. Design, modelling and simulation laboratory; assembly and testing centre are also part of Igniter Complex. The noteworthy developments of the group in recent past are development of cap based ignition system and multipoint simultaneous ignition system.

The laboratory has developed several ignition systems to ensure reliable initiation of rocket motors of various tactical as well as strategic missiles.Ignition is a crucial and highly critical phenomenon in the ignition chain of Rocket motor. HEMRL has developed various fuel /oxidizer based igniter compositions using organic binders. The laboratory has developed several ignition systems to ensure reliable initiation of rocket motors of various tactical as well as strategic missiles.

Ignition system for Agni, Prithvi, Akash, Nag, Pinaka, Long Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LRSAM), etc. have been designed and developed in HEMRL. Technology for AKASH, Nag missiles and Pinaka Mk-I Rocket has been transferred to Ordnance Factory, Dehu Road, Pune and private industries.

Also present during the inauguration were Director General of Armament Combat Engineering (ACE) P. K. Mehta; Director HEMRL KPS Murthy; Director, Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE) Dr VV Rao and Chief Construction Engineer Research & Development (West) Aloke Mishra.

Take a look at the LRSAM Jet Vane movement for TVC in sync with the Fins. Similar jet vanes are there in the AAD missile.
The diverter jet vanes move with the movement of the fins as can be seen in the second LRSAM picture. Sort of a lever/crank that transcends the movement of fins to the vanes.
