That is for the govt to set right.. Govt should not just rely on IAF to spell out the correct requirements. The DoMA and CDS should create a dedicated dept of Defence procurement empowered enough to make recommendations based on capability requirements for each services. It should include experts, members from the forces to bring out a white paper time to time on the national capability mix required, be agile to global technology shifts and set the vision. I am not hopeful this will ever happen, so Govt will keep on playing dodgeball with IAF.The problem is IAF is hell bent on MRFA.
