Navy is a favourite coz they bring realistic expectations to the table.

Better than IA, IAF but this time they are no djfferent. This 26 Rafale deal should have been signed in 2019 so that when in 2022 INS Vikrant joined the fleet, it is ready for war.

Instead Navy/MoD first built the ship and than searching for the aircraft. Funny , as it can be. Clowns.

Same goes to IA. PLA Type-15 tanks were tested in Tibet for many years and then they brought them to the border facing. All those hears though there were pictures on internet, IA and MoX babus were sleeping. Now suddenly after Galwan they are in hurry to build a light tank. :pound::pound::pound:

IAF is doing same with J-20, they are waiting for another Balakot type incident to get a 5th gen fighter.

what the fuck???????????????

if it only takes a fucking month by DAC and MOD to clear deals then why isn't this happening for home grown stuff we actually make ?
It will take years for CCS to clear the deal. Than sign the deal with the company. Last time CCD took 16 months. Xi Pinglong needs to give us danda again on the border than we learn.

Germany doesn't look like someone with whom we can proceed for strategic deals.

Does that means navy is planning to operate 10 to 11 rafales from the two carriers considering best case availability?
Rafales will not be operating from INS Vikramaditya, they are exclusively meant for INS Vikrant.
Indian Navy has some 41 Mig 29K in it's inventory which will be deployed aboard the INS Vikramaditya, they have a 70% availability rate.

Thus, the 3 additional Scorpenes instead of the 6 Type 218s that were quite close to being signed.
That deal might still happen but rest assured MoD babus will squeeze.

Shipborne UAVs are in service. Over 40 in fact. MNRH is the Romeo. MCMV has become defunct as a concept. QRSAM is onboard the R class. Surface drones are in service as well, AUVs are in advanced R&D.

They should just collaborate with HAL, that's their best bet than any private industry. We should have ordered another 44(AF)+26(Naval) and assembled in HAL with whatever TOT they give, set up MRO facility and be done with fighter imports for good. AF with 4 squads should be comfortable and rest they can just wait for tejas mk2. The MMRCA style competition in this case makes little sense now.
