Thanks for clarifying. If you have knowledge on this topic, why didn't IA and IAF start their own R&D cells? Constraint from those times? Something else?

Never ending trials are definitely something, but as @binayak95 wrote out, there are gaps, where the Navy, for being the least funded as it is, has been way better at supporting indigenous efforts than the other services. Just want to understand why exactly there are these deficiencies in these branches.
Primarily because IN was least funded - and thus had no choice but to innovate and do self R&D, while IA and IAF never lacked for funds through to the 90s

The Bayraktar TB2 seems to be relatively effective even with a payload of only 150 kg. Most modern cruise missiles are more than 1000kg and have warheads alone that are twice or more than the the total payload of the TB2. Anything launched from the Bayraktar must have a very small warhead.

Also if you can do so much with a 10kg warhead then why are warhead in most bombs and missiles more than 100kg. It seems like with modern guidance you can use lighter munition and get them cheaper or with longer range.
Because 8-10kg HEAT is the minimum needed for reliable penetration of heavy tank armour. Most of the 100kg, 1000kg bombs are either anti personnel high explosive or anti ship.

FF-2019
They got lsp orders after 3 years only
They will induct in 200
I guess they will come integrated with atgms and won't be toothless for decades
I won't be shocked if they induct them in large nos before us
Par we won't order after lsp as atgms will take 2025 for integration and IA will get an excuse
Not wznt to offend ourselves but a self introspection
A little bit of more introspection.

Yes. And this has been discussed a lot before.
Then it’s unfair to use the weight criticism against ATAGS wrt to ATHOS

it’s a BS red herring anyway, what infrastructure do they have that can support 15t but can’t support ~18t? The ground pressure of the ATAGS will be less than the single axle 155/52 23L chamber guns anyway and the IA is taking >40t K9 and MBTs right to the front
