There is RFI [request for information] stage for mounted guns. The towed guns are yet to be ordered. We qualified on the towed guns with a sizeable indigenous content.. Whole lot of the programmes are in a limbo, that way. It was won in price by Israelis but not yet ordered...

Is he talking about the Mounted Gun System and the towed howitzers or the towed AA guns for army?

What boasting?? First Army has to study the whole concept of unmanned ground vehicles and their battle usage and scenarios and come up with right mix within current force. Does recent UGV competition rings any bell, Sounds similiar to drone competitions by IAF and IA and now we have all tenders for swarms drones. Similiarly it depends on IA when they come up with requirements. We should be happy that atleast someone is developing the capability beforehand. And anyway how are we supposed to sell our products without advertising.

This is just pure business for them. Getting benefits from both the sides.

The thing which surprises me is that, this country is asking for money/loan/fund on every international platform on the other hand they are signing defence contracts one after another.

Ok experts I wanna know are L&Ts aa guns bad? the iaf are getting there seems to be some hate that Kalyani ones got rejected and those were superior are they just YouTube experts salty or l&t ones are really not as good as kalyani ones

Both L&T CIWS offering ans Kalyani CIWS offering is based and built on the Bofors L70, so I don't think there is any reason to hate one for the other.
