kind of humorous but in a politically incorrect way so I cannot give you a laughing face. :)) Sorry, I should have put on a link.

I realized that this is humor.😜
But really, young people do not understand how you can wipe your ass with pieces of newspaper without toilet paper. These are the realities of the Soviets.
The economy was built pyramidically. I lived in a million Donetsk and there you could buy bananas, pineapples, dates. And my ex-wife lived in the small town of Kotovsk (now Podolsk in Ukr.) and tried all this only after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Not so long ago things were the same in much of Canada and the USA.
Unlike some nations, perhaps those socialist Russians failed to invade/colonize the East/SE/S Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America and South America. If they had they would have been buying, not "importing", such things from their "own" companies. Russians wouldn't have needed to pay foreigners something in exchange. It all would have been internal.
Want to have all the nice things then I guess one must be more like the Romans, Catholics, Greeks and Dutch.... Invade, butcher, enslave, plunder...people who do that get to have all the nice things. Having something nice usually means somebody else goes without.

Ukrainian TV reporting about hunger in Ukraine.
In China, there are no pensions at all.
I agree that our pensions are small and this is a shame, but ...
This video is a manipulation. Sausages are perishable goods and if there is no demand, then there would be no variety in the shop.
The average salary in Ukraine is about 14 thousand = 500 dollars.

I also use Google translator. When I started, I tried to write on my own, but eventually gave up.

As per my understanding Ukraine Position is summed as follows;
1) Full pivot to western camp (NATO and EU integration) - Legitimate demand
2) Insist on Russian subsidies to finance its economy (Read lower prices for Gas) - Ridiculous position
3) Is against Nord Stream 2 as it loses on transit fees (Want Russia to forego its interest) - Ridiculous position

To sum up, Ukraine want goodies from Russia whilst at the same time telling the latter to go Fvck itself.
Reminds me of Pakistan position, I am strategically important USA, CHINA, INDIA all we have to give me salute to achieve their aims. Playing your strategic position is not a sustainable plan, sooner or later due to unreasonable demands, people will just drop you.

I will correct:
Ukraine has not bought Gas from Russia for 7 years.
Yes, this is Russian gas, but purchased from other countries. And in market conditions, the place of its production is not important (Russia, Norway or Algeria).
Who owes whom - there is a decision of the Stockholm court, according to which Russian Gazprom paid Ukraine $ 3 billion.
With regards to transit. This is not a very critical amount for our the economy, but the gas pipeline should not be idle. NS2 will make him stop.

Why should he care about the viability of pipeline going through Ukraine. If not Russian gas which country can you route through that pipeline. Norwegian, British all have crossed their peak gas exploration. Algerian have not discovered any new resource. That leaves you with middle East states laying pipeline in unstable region is not wise. That leaves you with US exports which is many times more expensive. Like it or no Europe is dependent on Russian gas, up to you to find an optimal mix.
Balancing act is where most fails.

Who is asking for their care? Where did you see the whine? I'm just explaining the situation. These are only political projects, not economic ones. All new gas pipelines: NS 1,2, South Stream - reduce gas transit through our system. NS2 will completely drain it. We'll have to reserve.
As for American gas, Poland and Lithuania have completely switched to it and do not suffer from expensive prices.
If the European states consider. that the war will cost them less, then let them continue to buy. However, Europe understands Putin's plans, therefore it wants to restrict the gas pipeline.

Yes buying on spot market is the wisest decision and as you said nationalism/freedom is paramount. Albeit, you have to pay a dear price for that.
Gas bills to rise 54% and electricity 24% in new year says, says Polish regulator
Poland’s energy regulator has announced that electricity prices for households will increase 37% on average in the new year, citing growing wholesale costs and rising European prices of emissions. That means that power bills – which including electricity price and distribution fees – will jump 24%.
That is Poland after it terminated its contract with Gazprom and moved to spot market. Kindly pass on such increase in tariffs on to consumers and see what happens to President popularity:)

Free cheese only comes in a mousetrap. You have to pay for everything. We have already experienced "gas wars" with the Kremlin more than once and believe that it is better to overpay than live on a chain.
This means that ordinary Poles will save more. This awaits us too. All of Europe too.
Not everything is so sad. Someone likes to whine.
Here is blackjack posted a video where the grandfather complains that he has not eaten meat for a long time. And this is with a pension of 3 thousand hryvnia. Buy yourself for 300 hryvnia - 2 kilos of meat and only eat it all week. These are moral freaks in the plot .

food doesn't magically appear and allow the greedy takers, thieves, parasites and pigs to stuff their faces and play. A few angry food producing Sikh farmers stood down all of urban India.
Ukraine has some of the best farmland in the world. Food prices are going up. True hell is coming for everyone. Putting the better more efficient farmers on the best land makes sense for places that want cheap food. Remember those HUGE African land grabs?
FARM LAND is the reason the Ukraine has worth.
The decent farmers were cheated and left for NA. Ukraine will be a hole until it gets good farmers. It won't. Farmers won't return there so long as those people are in control. Result other people need to take control.

Putin outsmarts EU as new China gas deal to pump 'same amount' as banned German pipeline, worsens Europe's gas crisis
RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin is reportedly in the final stages of making a deal with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on building a new pipeline that could further worsen Europe's gas crisis.

The agreement would double exports to China, transporting up to fifty billion cubic metres more natural gas every year via a major new planned pipeline - Power of Siberia 2. This comes as the rest of Europe reels from a major energy crisis, with prices climbing to a new record last week, up almost 800 percent since the start of the year. The EU's energy crisis has intensified in the past weeks after nuclear reactors were halted in France, with Germany recording low wind power output.

The resultant power shortage has prompted countries to burn more coal and even oil to keep the lights on and homes warm, flying in the face of the COP26 commitment to phase out fossil fuels.

Experts have accused Mr Putin of tinkering with gas supplies in order to pressure the European Union into approving the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

The new pipeline will see gas transited from Russia into Germany, bypassing Poland and Ukraine. But after getting hit with delays, certification remains suspended.

Analysts warn that this new pipeline would give Russia further leverage over Europe, which would leave the bloc powerless to stop the Kremlin’s growing aggression towards Ukraine.

Danil Buchkov, an expert on Russia and China relations, said: "Power of Siberia 2 will supply gas from Siberia’s Yamal Peninsula, source of gas exported to Europe.

"Western officials worry project could have geopolitical implications for European nations before they embark in earnest on transition to renewables.

"The planned Power of Siberia 2 pipeline will be able to pump into China around the same amount that Nord Stream 2 would be able to transport to Europe, giving the Kremlin more options about who gets the gas and at what price."

Brandon Weichert, a geopolitical analyst, told Express.co.uk that Europe’s dependence on Russian gas will mean they will eventually have to cave to Moscow’s pressure.

The two countries installed the first direct natural gas pipeline called the Power of Siberia in 2019.

The second pipeline, Power of Siberia 2 is expected to start operating in 2030 and will be owned by China National Petroleum, and Gazprom.

Mr Weichert explained: “The move gives Russia more money and allows for them to evade the sanctions that the West has been subjecting Moscow to since their unlawful annexation of Crimea in 2014.”

Mr Weichert said that it is inevitable that Russia will come out on top, as the West will have to give in to Mr Putin’s demands to keep gas prices stable.

Even more amazing is that during this time of everyone behaving like the mindless servants to the EU, UK, NA, Aus and Nz...several of those nations have lost many things and lost wealth relative to other nations. Israel, Japan, SK, China and the Middle East have made massive gains really at the expense of the above nations and some others. Wonder who were actually asleep and who were woke all along.

read about the Montreux Convention. Notice that collapsing currency Turkey still seems to have no problem funding weapons programs AND the Istanbul Canal. Wikipedia says the Istanbul Canal will not be subject to the Montreux Convention.
supposedly 7 years to complete the canal. Wonder if anything that gets settled now just flares up again once the canal is completed?

U.S,. NATO rule out halt to expansion, reject Russian demands

Catholic Biden pushing for a war. Catholic Hitler and Catholic Napoleon also pushed for wars. They got really big wars. Very profitable for the Catholic Swiss/Tyrolean bankers.

Pretty certain, old Biden wears dentures, but from the way he barks he doesn't seem toothless.
