The advantage India has is that it does not have the obligation to participate in these wars.

The only hurdle is Pakistan. Unless and until that threat is removed we can't do shit.

Its not about participating in wars. Western countries might sanctions on Russia and anyone who purchases weapons from Russia. At that point we will have to make decision to pause defence ties with Russia.

It may have contributed, but we were going self reliant way even before that.

I believe this is more a choice of the west on which way it wants to go and not that of India.
If they expect India to ditch Russia and go flirting with the west when we have not really gained from them, they will ofcourse be disappointed.
Infact west has worked and continue to work against India's interests. Its for them to choose. We have clearly said that we are not going to choose overtly.

Ditching Russia is security nightmare specifically for Europeans that are thousands Miles
Away

Nevertheless I don't think Russians did anything that is actually undermined aur National security

Infact our important statergical tools are credit due to Russians
