Whatever you gift them, they are slipping out of your clutches. The junta is done and you know that. Democracy will be established within 12 months and CCP cronies will be booted out. Welcome to the real world. Have fun with Pakistan and North Korea.

So countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan(525 and 526)、Sri Lanka、Myanmar etc。 are expected to receive more of same in the coming years。

The Chinese Navy (PLAN) has transferred two of their older Type 053H1 frigates (NATO name Jianghu-2) to the Myanmar Navy. Based on an earlier Soviet Riga Class (Project 50) design of frigate the Type 053 covers a family of sub-classes with variants that were built starting in the mid 1970's until 2004. The 053H1 class was built at the Hudong Shipyard, China from 1981 to 1988.

The two frigates of 1,702 t displacement with the Myanmar Navy are now named UMS Mahar Bandoola (F-21) and UMS Mahar Thiha Thura (F-23).

The LOA is 339 ft (103 m) and beam is 35.4 ft (10.8 m) and is powered by a conventional two shaft arrangement with fixed pitch propellers. Engine power is by twin medium speed Chinese Hudong diesels type 12E390VA with rated output of 5,880 kW (7,885 hp) at 480 rpm. It has a vee 12 cylinder configuration with bore and stroke of 390 mm x 470 mm. There is also a V18 cylinder model of this series with an output of 8,820 kW used in later variants.

Two type 053H1 frigates of this class were supplied to the Egyptian Navy, the Najim Al-Zafir (951) and the El Nasser (956) in 1984-85 with a further ship Osman (F18) sold to Bangladesh in 1989. Four of the later type 053H2 frigates were supplied to the Royal Thailand Navy 1991-92 with a CODAD arrangement of four MTU 20V1183TB84 engines driving two CPP propellers.
A further development of the type 053H3 class is the F-22P Sword Class frigate for Pakistan. Four ships are being supplied, three were built in China and the last one is under construction in Karachi, Pakistan. The Sword Class uses a CODAD configuration of four Pielstick 16PA6 STC engines each of 5700 kW at 1084 rpm.

HQ16A missile system enters service

1st battalion of the 4th Air Defense Brigade of Chinese army equipped with HQ16A missile system.

In September 2011, the Newspaper Global Times announced China's new land-based mid-range Surface to Air Missile (SAM) system has reached operational capability. Military observers say that deployment of this missile system will boost China's air defense capability.

The new SAM system, dubbed by foreign media as the Hongqi-16, or Red Flag-16, has been delivered to an air defense unit in the Shenyang Military Region. In a recent drill, two HQ-16 missiles fired by the unit successfully hit their aerial targets, the official website of the People's Liberation Army Daily reported Monday.

As well as being able to engage aerial targets at high altitude, the mid-range HQ-16A is also able to intercept very low-flying targets at a distance of up to about 40 kilometers, filling the gap between the HQ-7 short-range SAM and the HQ-9 long-range SAM systems, Lan Yun, editor of Modern Ships, a Beijing-based military magazine, told the Global Times.

According to Modern Navy, the official magazine of the PLA Navy, the naval variant of the missile system, which has been fitted on Type 054A frigates, can intercept sea-skimming missiles that fly less than 10 meters above the sea surface.

In modern air attacks, large numbers of land-attack cruise missiles, such as the US Tomahawk missile, are being used, Lan said. "They fly about 50 meters above the ground to avoid early radar warning and interception attempts," he added.

But the current mid-range SAM missile system HQ-12 can only engage targets that fly 300 meters above ground, according to the promotion brochure of its export version, called the KS-1A system.

"Besides the low-altitude engagement capability, the HQ-16 is also more accurate than the HQ-12. The deployment of the land-based HQ-16 can greatly enhance the mainland's capability to counter modern air attacks," Lan said.

China plans to build 113 warships in the future 20 years

U.S. experts used to think that the Chinese Navy's submarine force and shore-based anti-ship missiles for the U.S. military's increasing danger, but the Chinese Navy also exists a lack of strategic weakness of the combat effectiveness of carrier and amphibious landing force. However, from the end of last century, this situation began to change. In 2010-2020, the Chinese, there might be a real threat to U.S. troops in the eastern Pacific. In 2006, China announced that he had become a sea power, we must build a powerful ocean-going fleet, this statement then reflected in the 2008 defense white paper. 2006 2 ton 071 dock landing the bow of the ship into the water, becoming the first ship in the true sense of helicopter dock landing ship. 2010 The first ship-volume type 071 dock landing ship into the water. China plans to build a total of six similar warships. The Chinese navy is equipped with a 1.4-ton 920 medical ship. Another rumor said that China plans to build six common use of the overall flight deck landing ship. Of course, the Chinese navy, the more complex and more important task is the construction of the true sense of the carrier. Since 1985, China has been Australia, "Melbourne", the former Soviet Union "Kiev", the "Minsk" and "Kuznetsov grid" four second-hand aircraft carrier Varyag in Dalian shipyard conversion The trial has begun service in 2015. China plans the construction of two 5-6 million tons of new non-nuclear aircraft carriers, independent in 2020 after the start of construction of domestic nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. The development of the Chinese Navy carrier-based aviation equipment is also worth special attention. Future Chinese aircraft carrier with the carrier-based fighter was originally planned for the Russian Su-33 fighters, but the Sino-Russian Su-33 supply issues on the breakdown of negotiations, China and then independently developed domestic carrier-based fighter F -15. It is actually Su-33, more accurate, is procured from Ukraine Su-33 demonstrator T-10K-7 imitation. Although China's military leaders claimed that the F -15 level playing field with other modern carrier-based fighter, but Pogosyan, Sukhoi Company CEO in 2010, F -15 in many of the indicators are inferior to the Su-33, the two can not be compared . In addition, China is still the Russian card -31 on the basis of development of domestic direct -8 carrier-based early warning helicopters, while also actively developed in many ways with the U.S. E-2 Hawkeye "similar to the domestic ship-borne early warning aircraft. It is an important condition for China's aircraft carrier battle groups to form a stable 'combat effectiveness, once successful, will make the vision of the aircraft carrier battle group of extended hundreds of kilometers.
