The PM, as his usual self, will remain the paragon of a peaceful bliss and would give no statement and even if it does, it will be only he who would understand what was said.

Watch the space for Pranab Mukherjee to be do the double speak.

Imagine Pranab Mukherjee saying that Mamta Bannerjee did not state that Azad's killing was a murder. Those who heard and understood Bengali made it out clearly that she said khoon = murder. Pranab Mukherjee, the Congress', man of all season, is the man to watch and note the gobbledygook he indulges in.

Hypothetical mode on:
I think that waiting for Pakistan to collapse by its own is again a pacifist approach and will not give India the leverage in that collapsed Pakistan of any kind. Why Baluchistan will favor India not USA or China if India did not helped them out.
Why helping insurgent has never given Pakistan or China any moral high ground to fight and win against India. Same will be the case with India helping insurgencies both in Pakistan and China. India will never be able to face the scrutiny and lose of typical army to army moral advantage over both.
As Nehru said ''free our territory'' ''entirely up to army'' as how they would do it (Using just as a quote). I can see a very dangerous trend here that Politics from both side is just there to rule by turns and army is expecting pragmatic, assertive political will to direct them for national issues. Who is going to bell the cat?...no one.

If war is not an option.
1. India should cancel the IWT and ceasefire on both LOC and IB immediately. This will not cost army the movement or forward deployment cause we have already resources there to start low level skirmish frequently. Let the Pakistan know that we are doing in response to Chinese army presence in POK.
2. Let us keep pouring logistics at indo china border and be alarming or less China sensitive.
3. Let the Parliament discuss if we need to review policy on Tibet.
4. Precision attack of few Kargil peeks still captured by PA. Time to test brahmos followed by capture.
5. Let us start needling them militarily than showing knee jerk transient diplomatic reactions to befool Indian public.

PLA is just moved in north POK, Initial figure is 11000 troops, Its still a long way to go...

1. China will move its quick-reaction force there..

2. Heavy arty will be deployed..

3. Railways is must be under-construction..

4. Their ROAD must be out of our arty reach, PAF F-16 and PLAAF J10 will be their..

5. New Airbases..

IA need more men in kashmir, RR is a dedicated CT force..
We still lack arty, PLA dont..

We still have time, better not waste it..

PS. One gud thing is its no more POK but COK..
well if you don't know

PLA is in SL,NEPAL,BD

we have short time what a crap we took 6 year in mmrca to select a plane

our defense budget should be increase if we want to save our nation

1)Needling the Paks right now is not a great idea
2)Correct and I think we are doing that
3)We never recognized sovereignity of tibet only its suzeranity but i think Tibets demographics have already changed a lot
4)Ray sir will be able to better answer that
5)We do that using the Dalai Lama

Its exactly not know why did PLA made this move. But surely it has happened with the consent of the Pak establishment. Its made quiet so that it doesnt turn into a national uproar with the already turmoil happening in Pak.

China must have paid huge money or some benefits for this deal. They need to make and secure their lines to gulf fearing Indian supremacy in IOR. Surely down the line its going to be a big issue in Pak with public and political outrages.

It matters to India as it claims PoK. It has just made the Kashmir problem more mess.

Hope all those Kashmiri protesters are watching the development.

The time has definitely come for the Prime Minister to make a statement and take a stand.
This time he cannot just sleep over it.
He has to answer the nation.
I am all up for low level skirmishes. You gotta let the enemy listen to some chin music.

Escalate it and only then will we know whose capable of what.Hit the ball back and place it in China's court and let's see
what they do with it.

If the Chinese Army wants to attack India it will choose the supposedly weak points of
1. sikkim siliguri corridor
2. Tawang or lohit valley in Arunachal

The line of control along the Pak occupied kashmir is a highly difficult place for any invading force

The 22 or so odd tunnels that are being mentioned can be missile storage sites away from the US satellites.

What can 11000 more men do to India .The line of control is very heavily defended by Indian Army.

We should only focus on our acquisitions and modernisations .Artillerry ,missiles and more fighter planes

Only the media is jumping .No comments yet made by the Army chief.

Then why they are building housing complexes. It clearly shows that they have long term goals there.

well if you don't know

PLA is in SL,NEPAL,BD

It more important to know that PLA is in kashmir,
Its is a place which is very important than any other, Lose Kashmir you lose the War....

Besides PLA have a huge relief knowing PA is behind..
Thats the reason PLA will concentrate more in POK, not in NEPAL, BD or SL..

At least in India Army chiefs don't speak publicly on every issue . GOI must have instructed to be silent on this issue .

China wants a grip on the region to assure unfettered road and rail access to the Gulf through Pakistan. It takes 16 to 25 days for Chinese oil tankers to reach the Gulf. When high-speed rail and road links through Gilgit and Baltistan are completed, China will be able to transport cargo from Eastern China to the new Chinese-built Pakistani naval bases at Gwadar, Pasni and Ormara, just east of the Gulf, within 48 hours.

Many of the P.L.A. soldiers entering Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to work on the railroad. Some are extending the Karakoram Highway, built to link China's Sinkiang Province with Pakistan. Others are working on dams, expressways and other projects.

Mystery surrounds the construction of 22 tunnels in secret locations where Pakistanis are barred. Tunnels would be necessary for a projected gas pipeline from Iran to China that would cross the Himalayas through Gilgit. But they could also be used for missile storage sites.

To do something like Siachen in 1984 we need someone like Indira Gandhi too to be able to give the army that kind of leadership and direction.

We really need someone like her. I don't think that MMS has balls and authority to plan and do something that Indira Gandhi would have done at this time. MMS is best person to lead the country when everything is peaceful in country but at time of adversity Indira is first person comes into my mind.

?!?
It was Field Marshal Manekshaw, who did all in 1971..
In 1984 it was Army Chief, Military Gen and advisers gives the know-how abt military matter, politicians just gave green and red lights..
Mrs Gandhi was good at politics, Its better not to involve politicians in deep Military matters..
1962 was a good example!

^^ Exactly. It's the Prime Minister who should have the guts to give the green signal.
Mrs. Gandhi had it every time. The Generals will come up with the plans. That's what they do in peace time.
At the end of the day the go ahead for the execution of plans has to come from the Prime minister's office.
