It will take some time for Europe to decouple from China. China remains an important market for EU.Once the Giga factory in Berlin starts operating at full capacity this will reduce drastically. CATL themselves wanted to build a battery factory in Germany. I don't have much updates on that. I am guessing Europeans wanted to build their own battery supply chain once EV adoption picks up. Right now European car companies are struggling to get battery raw materials. Bosch had plans to build a battery factory but backed off as they couldn't compete on cost compared to Asian battery companies in China and Korea. They were betting on Lithium mining in Serbia however Serbian people were against it.
As for China, they just throw money and buy the company.
Lenovo has achieved absolutely nothing in terms of innovation in the PC market other than dishing out cheap, unreliable laptops and hardware after buying out IBM's PC business.
Dell remains light years ahead of the Chinese owned pack of tofu.
