Just as, too much was written about Chinese made by $2 Trillion FDI from the West (1995-2015) and their spectacular rise of GDP, today too much is written in the media about sudden demise of the Chinese economy.
No, it is unlikely to be true. I am quoting Mark Twain that “ reports of my early death are exaggerated”.
Yes, everybody in Asia and elsewhere wish that China give up its belligerence but its demise is not welcome.
First, the West pumped too much money into China early on hoping for a dividend of China back stabbing Russia. Second, to expect it to give up all that new found prosperity because the West think, it made a mistake is not possible.
Hence, China is here to stay. What I wish is that it’s economic clout be diminished so that begins behaving.
