Astra mk2 will feature dual pulse motor.. maybe an aesa seaker & 2way data link.. even with an active seaker it will be in league of amraam 120D.. with a range of ~160 km... With drdo already having dual pulse motor tech (barak 8 mrsam).. i expect astra mk2 to come online sooner than later..

Astra 2 will be based on sfdr & is proly decade a away...
Probably will have Composite motor.

I watched the entire 70th anniversary parade but never saw 40N6E. That must mean they don't have it considering how much they like to show off their new toys.
Did u peeked inside S400 missiles Tel vertical launchers.?? I guess all S400 missiles are fully canisterised.. in tel.. unlike akash sam where u can see all the missile.. in full glory..

U won't be able to distinguish what missiles are there in those vertical launchers.. it could be quad packed 9m96e missiles or a solitary 40n6e/48n6e3... evry tell carry specific mix of missiles..

There are multiple reports of 40n6/40n6e missiles test firing & it's subsequent export to china.. which i hv already provided to u.. & that's for u to turn a blind eye to it..

even when s400 enters into service with indian airforce.. no-one will be able to classify the missile types & no.. as it would be closely guarded secret..

Ever since news of S-400 payments being finalised started, news have always been that India is opting for only two types of missiles in the package. 40N6E abs 48N6E3.

Is your assumption that only one missile is coming with the package to India?

For 100 KM range Barak 8 is already available, and will be manufactured(kit) in India. Order for 1000 barak 8(kit)has already been issued to Kalyani rafael JV.

Even if we assume for moment 40N6E is not part of the package, shouldn’t XR-SAM be able to bridge the gap?

And keep in mind user acceptance trails of 40N6E for russian military should have happened last russian summer, donno the result of that.

Test was successful.. 40N6E is inducted in russian army & even exported to china.. there are multiple reports of the same..

Here's the Russian source stating 40N6E missile inducted into russian army by October 2018...

It isn't a hot launch VLS, it is a cold launch canister that can't be quad packed as the launch requires an explosive charge, nor does it have anywhere to vent the exhaust. The 40N6E is massive compared to the rest of them, you will know what the canister looks like when you see it.

Here's the image for 40N6E missiles in it's canister.. it is the same canister wiz houses 48N6 & 9m96 missiles.. However due to it's size one missile each of 40N6 & 48N6 can be canisterised in one launcher.. & only 9m96 & 9m96e missiles can be qaud packed in the same size canister wiz houses 40N6E & 48N6..

So ur assumption of 40N6E requiring any different size canister is not true.. coz it's very similar to 48N6 in anatomy.. albeit a bit longer.. however not anything massive compared to 48N6

The diplomat is more like a news aggregator. The tass source confirms the 40N6 missile existence..

Of course it exists, they have been testing it for years. The question is if it is being mass produced. It is odd that there are no pictures of it in active units.

Da fuck mate do u think they are gonna sit on their asses while we bomb their runways. And Runways can be rebuilt in a day or two.

There are more than one forward PAF bases in Pubjab Region, fighter jets can take off from any of them.
Are u gonna bomb all of them at once.

The whole concept of PAF is based on Area Denial they won't let u make advancement in their territory.
U can't just eliminate the probability of a Dog Fight in a aerial battle

Do it when u have 10000 planes in the arsenal.
Never been that bright, have you bruv??

I wonder, how many launchers & missiles we are getting for USD 5 Billion order for 5 Squadrons.

It can range from 40 launchers with 300 missiles to 60 launchers with 600, assuming all 40N6 missiles.

Sir.
Is it possible to track ground hugging cruise missile before entering indian border? By any means AWACS OR SU 30MKI OR Something else.

Is it possible to destroy that missile by our high flying or low flying fighter by using ASTRA?

ASTRA Cost effcetive+local made+can produce any number of missile.
