Who ever said ASTRA MK.2 was to be a METEOR equivalent???

ASTRA MK.2 is to counter the AIM-120C and at 150++ km range this is more than achievable.

SFDR is a technology, once mastered it can be utilised for future projects, why assume ASTRA MK.2 is the end of the road? They’ve taken QRSAM from nothing to ready for production in less than 5 years, clearly a compression of project timelines is happening and these guys are serious now.

Insulting these experts becuase your unfounded fantasies are not being fulfilled to your arbitrary expectations is ridiculous.
Don't mind him bruv, his mum dropped him on his head when he was a toddler.

And why are even fighting over which side's got the better ranged AAMs when we can simply destroy their runways/airstrips from within our side of the border, with ground-launched PGMs alone??!!

Da fuck mate do u think they are gonna sit on their asses while we bomb their runways. And Runways can be rebuilt in a day or two.

I mean how on earth those PAF fighters gonna get airborne we leave them no runways left to take off from??
There are more than one forward PAF bases in Pubjab Region, fighter jets can take off from any of them.
Are u gonna bomb all of them at once.
Why you guys hellbent on fighting the enemy on his turn, it's simply mind-numbing, to say the least
The whole concept of PAF is based on Area Denial they won't let u make advancement in their territory.
U can't just eliminate the probability of a Dog Fight in a aerial battle
say we go full Dresden on these mother fuckers' asses the next time
Do it when u have 10000 planes in the arsenal.

Pakistan is a narrow country with a maximum width of about 500 km. So, there is a limit when it comes to the utility an surprise that PAF can cause... Most cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi can be targeted with Pinaka mk1 or the new Enhanced Pinaka. We dont even need aircraft, to lay waste their most important cities...

Bruv most of Pakistans airfield are located well beyond the range of our anti airfields bombs.

See the map

Besides there is shit like anti aircraft missile and AEWS to counter Approaching Aircraft.
It's almost impossible to bomb any major target in Pakistan unless the 70 or so F 16 are taken out.
When all these F 16 are out of the way rest of JF 17 and will be target practice.

RAFALE & S-400... two words enough for..PAF.. there's a reason why we are ordering low band jammers along with rafale even though rafale has three inbuilt active array jammers.. yeah!! To blind paki air defence operating at low bands to detect any incoming air assault...

Then comes S400 & it's 40N6E (400km range) missile.... Which is specifically meant to destroy awacs & fuel tankers.. remember paf awacs don't hv length advantage due to geography of al bakistan.. thus even to operate at their optimum level they hv to come close by 100 km Atleast from border.. this makes baki's awacs as prime target for S400 strategically placed ... With their awacs gone paf will run blind.. & iaf can launch passive attacks courtesy IRST equipped aircraft a la rafale, su30, mig29upg.. wiz paf jf17, f16 lacks.. they won't even fathom wht's hitting them..

I mean the 40N6E missile. China has not recieved theirs and there are no reports of them being delivered to active S-400 regiments. It makes it a useless purchase if it if just a glorified S-300 PMU-2.
Didnt see u some reports of S400 consignments getting lost or damaged in some storm. These were probably 40N6E

No, S400 now is very much equipped with long range 40N6E missiles.. as it has been tested by russia in 2018 & is pressed into service by russian army...so noway india is purchasing S400 without long range 40N6E missiles.

Their are reports of china receiving 40N6E missile later.. as they hd purchased s400 much earlier..when it was operating without 40N6E missiles..

How do you know sdfr has a range of 340 km. I think sdfr is Astra mark2 with a range of 150km
No SFDR is remjet powered. It is already tested. Videos are there on NET. Astra Mk2 can be an enhanced version of Astra Mk1 so far as I know.

Lol as if india will say ya get us..we are waiting.. the day al bakistan tries to go nuclear even tactical one.. india will obliterate it from map of world..

This nuclear blackmailing won't save bakistan this time.. we hv been calling their nuclear bluff since modi came into power.. earlier it was congress wiz bogged down.. even after catastrophic attack of mumbai..
Not this time.. this is making al bakistan restless & desperate.. if they are so confident in their atomi quwat.. why can't they dare challenging india after we revoked article 370?.. lol.. as usual they hv resorted to cribbing & squealing.. this is where their nuclear dhamki evaporates in thin air..

Astra mk2 will feature dual pulse motor.. maybe an aesa seaker & 2way data link.. even with an active seaker it will be in league of amraam 120D.. with a range of ~160 km... With drdo already having dual pulse motor tech (barak 8 mrsam).. i expect astra mk2 to come online sooner than later..

Astra 2 will be based on sfdr & is proly decade a away...

Do you have some pics of it in service with active units? The Diplomat article says it is unclear whether 40N6E is even in serial production.

Lol no!! I don't hv any pics.. however u can corroborate with following reports & also shipment reports of 40N6E missiles to china getting damaged in storm.. it was widely reported in global media.. it's no longer a secret with china receiving 40N6E missiles..

I watched the entire 70th anniversary parade but never saw 40N6E. That must mean they don't have it considering how much they like to show off their new toys.
