I am new to this forum, the reason why I joined here is some turks on twitter were bad mouthing our 5th generation project and their project is superior in every means. Can someone explain if its true and how and why?
That will take long time. Turks are loud mouths who haven't even developed a 4th gen fighter jet. India is multiple decades ahead of them in aerospace industry. Stay on forum read different threads from lca mk1a to mk2 to amca and drdo thread and you will start getting an idea of reality. Welcome .

I was thinking the same, they got their arrogance since they developed some armed drones and think they are better than everyone

Welcome on board!

Do you remember any realistic way in which people think TF-X is superior?

Arey dude, TF-X is da besht. They don’t have any engine tech, they don’t have any avionics tech, they don’t have any radome making tech, they don’t have wind tunnel testing facility inside turkey, they don’t have HUD of their own, they don’t have RCS testing facilities and they have never made landing gears for fighters, but then TF-X is better, lol.

TF-X in the end will take route that South Koreans took. import everything and assemble in turkey.

I have two questions regarding AMCA
  1. Are we using Head-up display or Helmet-mounted display
  2. If we are using Helmet-mounted display is their any local development project in progress?

That's the point, they never went technical into why their project were superior, they were just saying European Union will help in technical needs, which India will never get
Earlier this year I think the government committed another $1.3 billion to the project. Let's see how far they have got in a couple of years' time. I think that TF-X is due to fly 2025/2026 with EIS by 2030.

They have the same problem as AMCA Mk2 - no engine for the production version, although TRMotor got a contract to develop one in 2018, I think. Good luck to them. I'm not optimistic about an indigenous engine being designed, developed, tested, certified in time to be used in the production aircraft. I think a Turkish version of the Kaveri saga is more likely.

First ask them to do wind tunnel testing of TFX on their own lol.
TAI CEO Temel Kotil said in an April 27 TV interview that “the government has earmarked an additional $1.3 billion to Phase 1 of the TF-X program. A total of 6,000 engineers are working on this program.”

He added his company will soon build the first hangar for the TF-X as well as what he called Europe’s second-best wind tunnel for testing the aircraft.

I think they are taking help from GE. Overall it's a UK program more preciously all the design, simulations and RCS testings are being done by them turkey doesn't even have any experience to develop technologies for 4th gen aircraft.

Is that wise (US reaction to S-400)? Same problem with P&W. Turkey is not a favourite of France, either. Only leaves RR out of the big four. They got involved with Turkish company Kale Group in 2017 but withdrew 2019. *

In 2018 GE's local partner TUSAS proposed that Turkey should buy an existing GE engine with ToT. *
