The order of 40 AMCA MK1 will depend on when the funds can be accomodated in the the Defence buget. For example LCA MK1A order should have been placed in the year 2018 itself. Inability to arrange for fund, will delay its order, and thereby induction into IAF.
When was Tejas MK1 order placed?

Yet only half of orders are completed by HAL in 2021😂
Even after placing the order, IAF kept changing and adding requirements. Initial operational clearance-1(IOC-1) was granted only in Jan 2011, after which its supposed to take 3 years for delivery of the first fighter, which should have been Jan 2014.
However in 2012, IAF again added requirements and IOC-2 was granted in December 2013. Hence the first delivery was delayed by a year to Jan 2015.
Followed by a measly order of just 40 fighters, HAL's production rate has been like 5 fighters a year.
And oh, to add to that, the trainer variant's configuration was not even finalized till 2020. So HAL had a finalized order of not even 40, but 32 fighters.

IAF kept on changing and adding requirements and out right rejected Tejas for foreign maal if it wasn't parikkar shoving down half baked Tejas down IAF ass we wouldn't have seen what it is today.... finally we are moving ahead without doubting Tejas and continuing Tejas platform development

No it can carry a destriyer in there , will release it near water surface , we can use it in pangong tso .
Destriers were good war-horses. But no point dropping them on enemies in modern warfare (...unless we mean to break Pakistani economy on their upkeep).

Can CATS type system be accomodated inside the Weapon's bay of AMCA?
Ok. Here's what AMCA internal have been confirmed to fit. Payload is 2000kg.

8 SAAW (250kg each), 4 HSLD bombs (450kg each), 4 BVRs (±200kg each), possibly swarm drones. CATS Hunter size is unknown, but compared to SAAW quad-launcher... it's possible that thing might fit.

PS: A combo of is possible with 2 BVRs & 2 PGMs. Either PG-HSLD last-guided bombs, or 500kg Gaurav inertia-guided bombs, (possibly) Khagantak TV-guided winged glide-bombs.

There is only limited space of weight and area in IWB. Just lower weight won't allow increased number of armaments.
