what has decibel to do anything with stealth coating? Sorry, i don't know much about these.Adrishya work on -10db
what is Adrishya?Adrishya work on -10db
could be the quality of the models playing tricks on my eyes or something but the later designs look more finished, compared to the earlier ones which had much more of a prototype feel.A beatuful looking aircraft is now an ugly looking crap. Totally ugly.
what is Adrishya?
Stealth RAM coating for AMCAwhat is Adrishya?
this^So adreshya ram is developed and tested
What is the rcs of amca jet using this ram coatingView attachment 78577
R u sure RCS calculation is that straight forward. I have doubts about that. LCA without external armaments have 0.5 RCS sourced at various places. High composite material is a big factor in that. So just RCS based on coating alone seems bit straight forward. F 22 have RCS in 0.001 with composite used < 50% which will definitely be higher in AMCA.
Wouldn’t this black coloured coating show black body radiation after absorption of heat during flight Caused by air resistance if it really is black...
So you want to say that AMCA will be stealthier than F-22?R u sure RCS calculation is that straight forward. I have doubts about that. Can be or maybe not. I am just saying those calculation cant be just based on one parameter value. Just for a fact, F22 is a great jet and design but the technology used and design is 20 years old. It was best at that point but material science has developed all over world after that. If AMCA has better RCS than F22, I wont be that much surprised. In frontal RCS,I think it can be better because of everything I mentioned but engine seems to be exposed so cant say about other sides. So you want to say that AMCA will be stealthier than F-22?
That can be cured to an extent with active cooling of the nozzles. Can be or maybe not. I am just saying those calculation cant be just based on one parameter value. That is in test phase. Still IR exposure seems to be high in this design. I personally prefer F22 nozzle design but it have issues too. For AMCA I read composite on north of 95% but cannot believe that figure but even conservative estimates also put it above 80%.That can be cured to an extent with active cooling of the nozzles.
By the way I’ve heard that AMCA will be 80% made of composite materials @Bleh?
Is there any aircraft which has more than 45% composite materials? As far as I have heard Tejas has the highest amount of composites used in any fighter aircraft at 45%.That is in test phase. That value 45% is by weight. Surface coverage of composite in tejas itself is 90%.Is there any aircraft which has more than 45% composite materials? As far as I have heard Tejas has the highest amount of composites used in any fighter aircraft at 45%.
AMCA should have 80% composites by weight if it wants to be a dominator, does high use of Composite materials make the aircraft stealthier or it has no effect? That value 45% is by weight. Surface coverage of composite in tejas itself is 90%.
Composites are developed for various purposes. They can have better hardening, heat resistance and can attribute better radar absorption. Everything depends on what is developed by then. But if composites reach to 80% by weight then most probably RCS should be comparable to best in class.AMCA should have 80% composites by weight if it wants to be a dominator, does high use of Composite materials make the aircraft stealthier or it has no effect?
If what I’ve heard is true that it will have 80% Composites by weight, then I can conclude that it will be stealthier than F-22 due to various reasons.Composites are developed for various purposes. Nice to hope. I but seriously have doubts on that open engine nozzles. If what I’ve heard is true that it will have 80% Composites by weight, then I can conclude that it will be stealthier than F-22 due to various reasons.
