T\ r module will be about 1400 , if they have really miniaturized like reported earlier , also module will be gan so won't be overkill to compare it to top line radar , also they were thinking of cheek mounted radar panel , and main aesa will be a stearable mount .
In aeroindia it was revealed that tejas mk2 will have smaller radar than mk1 but will have close to 1000 TRMs compared to 780 in mk1. Tejas Mk2 radar should be around 55 cm in size. So if AMCA radar is just 20 cm larger than Tejas mk2 than for 70cm radar of AMCA, TRMs should be around 1900 to 2000.

Really? 20cm is too much.

MKI have bigger nose cone than AMCA supposed to have but AMCA will have GaN based AESA so it should balance that out. But cant say about 1400 number as no data yet on that.
I compared with mwf , it will have 992 , also miniaturized trm module for future gan will give a figure of 1400.
F 35 have about 1700 , but it don't matter much , if your engine can't power it ,it would be useless , so 1400-1500 would be enough for amca mk 1 , will give good enough performance figure

@Bleh , could you tell me benefit of eots ,
What i looked at various sources gave me feel that it is just good for tracking but not for guidance for weapons , so will cheek mounted radar , das , conformal irst , dedicated ew suite will be a good package or some more edition should be there

Not sure about TRM dencity per sqft but yes GaN based radar is more efficient in terms of electrical power and efficiency.
Wow. So even if we extend our expectations hypothetically to 2000 TR Modules for the sake of discussion, what do you think will be the range of AMCA’s GaN UTTAM AESA Radar with 2x110KN GE-F414EPE Engines?

Excedding whatever of f 35 , but that too only with 110 class , high energy producing engine

MWF with GE414INS6 98KN and AMCA with hopefully 110KN wont be having much difference in dome size. And event though power efficiency will be better for GaN then GaAs, still how much power is available and radar scale needs to be measured. There are too many things to consider and thus i always stay away from assumptions in such cases.

When will GaN AESA UTTAM Radar be ready for induction, considering only few have the tech.
