I think all the negativity surrounding the indigenous projects seems to be a propaganda from the paid media to radically destabilize our effort so that we never become self sufficient and always continue to be a market for arms. Arms lobby go every mile including falsification in media to bribery of our officers. While the media continues to rant about unfinished projects( which i dont even understand as to how they become defence reporters) they never seem to acknowledge the Finished things done by our scientist. I think lot of Indians are morally weak and not a supporter to emancipate our Motherland from clutches of Arms imperialism that exist.
This arms imperialism is expected to become more strident as Indian defence industry comes of age.

is desi AESA radar is ready?? if not what's the status of it?? HAL have plans to use it in Mk-2.. but Mk-1 complete induction might take 4 to 5 yrs to complete. By the time if AESA is ready , will they incorporate it in MK-1? or it's specific feature of MK-2 ?? Anyways after induction of mk-1, sometime later we need to upgrade them to increse their service span.

Not for a few more years.

if not what's the status of it??
LRDE is holding a tender for the Development partner. It is in the last stages. The partner will provide AESA array. Most probably the Israelis will be chosen. Elbit, possibly Phazatron and Selex are fighting it out.

will they incorporate it in MK-1? or it's specific feature of MK-2 ??
No. Only on Mk2.

Anyways after induction of mk-1, sometime later we need to upgrade them to increse their service span.
The 40Mk1s may be phased out when nearing the end of their service life because we are heavily dependent on quality over quantity.

40 mk-1s will get ASEA radar ,more powerful 100 KN next gen k-10 engine meant for AMCA(as GE-404 and Kaveri K-10 both have same form fit) ,and longer range indigenous BVRs after a decade of service as it is normal for any fighter.
With these upgrades their external store capacity along with many parameters like TWR, ITR and STR will also increase.
it is a fallacy to argue the lower powered mk-1s will be phased out without getting these upgrades. Mirages are getting 40 million dollar per plane upgrade at the end of their service life. The same goes for these mk-1s.

There is no doubt that Tejas MK-1 will be upgraded as the AESA radar design for MK2 can be fitted to MK1 cone as both share the same size, There can be also Engine upgrade possible Kaveri variant in near future..

Tejas MK1 have lots of space for upgrades, Includes avionics, engine, radar & Armament..

@Kunal Biswas there was a report that the ceramic molded mono-crystalline blades were breaking and shooting off in Kaveri engine? Also, max thrust achieved till now is only 83kn.True?

LCA- 'Noise Reduction System' inside the pilot helmet

The development of the Active Noise Controls or the ANC system for reducing the noise levels inside the pilot helmet was successfully achieved. This system is based on "Adaptive feed forward ANC technology", which ensures adaptability of the system to LCA-TEJAS broad band noise and does not affect the voice communication signals.

[Reduction in Noice Level in 'OFF' and 'ON' mode can be seen in the graph above]

The first version of the ' Auto Pilot Control Laws ' was flown successfully and the performance was found to be satisfactory.

The control laws of LCA-TEJAS aircraft with new features of integral limit protection and controlled opening of the limiters for Parameter Identification at high angles of attack were developed, tested and flown successfully. The extensive flight data acquired was used for finalization of the Initial Operation Clearance (IOC) control laws.

It is one thing if a single engine goes out, but to lose two records serious problems. That is why you want two engines for naval operations. It didn't save this Super Hornet.
Don't make an issue out of nothing, SH lost for other reasons.

I guess you have given the direct link to the attachment URI instead of the image itself. That is why It is showing only with your own login. logout once and see if its still visible.

Working for me perfectly!-
