TEDBF or ORCA Updates

i personally think indian navy should invest heavily in tedbf because its something between mwf and amca if that comes till 2026 even iaf might buy some sqdns with some modifications, one more thing i got to know from the guy who took ddr interview(aero 2021) was tedbf with have semi reccessed bays

The only two usp TEDBF has is its folded wingspan and its promise to deliver early than amca. But if its timeline slips, both its usp neutralizes as vikky completes its lifetime.

TEDBF is basically a clean sheet aircraft who's design is heavily influenced by our past experience with lca.

If you let go of vikky than both iac1 and future iac ii can accommodate amca or f-35

Btw our frigates carry 8 Anti ship missiles. Lca can carry two anti ship missiles at once. Just four sorties and you have your flying frigate.

TEDBF was always coming and going nowhere else. I always knew that Navy was going ahead with it. Hopefully the Indian Navy Procures TEDBF in good number(Maybe around 60+? Could be)

TEDBF should not be used only on Aircraft Carriers but an Offshore Squadron like in naval bases like INS Hansa(Goa) should also be used which will most Probably happen.

Anyways by that time ,in the coming years, our Economy will increase and our Defence Budget will also Increase.

Anyways TEDBF along with Tejas mk2 looks to have juicy Potential for Export to Other Countries.

To be fair ,I am also a very big fan of the Design of TEDBF (Twin Engine Deck Based Fighter) because it has the external aspects of so many Aircrafts like Tejas, Tejas Mk-2 and Rafale in it.

I always liked the look of the Tejas mk-2 but Iove the design of TEDBF more.

It's optimised for naval flying. Where you need all the thrust you can get and for that you need straight intakes to get maximum possible airflow for your Engine.

This also reduced work and makes thing much simple.

Atleast 1200+ TRM for sure. MWF itself has 1000 TRM approx. And tedbf will be much wider and will have much more power available for bigger radar and cooling.

No offence here. But i don't think so that TEDBF will be as good looking or better than Rafale.

I myself personally like the Look of the Rafale more than the TEDBF.

Yes of course the TEDBF design is quite beautiful and awesome looking, no denying that but for me though visually Rafale looks better.

Yes it may be looking Ambitious but let's see. I guess it's true afterall that TEDBF is coming and making its first flight by 2026. Let's See if it happens. Hopefully there won't be any delays.
