There is news of them buying PL-15 Missile from NI Hao and installing it on their jf-17.
Just to say that, anything we do in years of hardwork, they go and just request their masters in mao beijing and SO CALLED IRON DRAGONS of global times give them the required counterbalance and then start speaking some shit from tsun tzu war language.
This is frustrating and hamper our designs for the region.
And I am not from a group that think Chinese weapons are third class no no no no one must not think of their enemies like this even if they turned out to be which in this case seems not.
Chinese missile and radars are useless. Paki were Searching for Italian Avionics and European weaponry for jf17 but Indian mirage upgrade deal cancelled any french support. So porky had to rely on shitty Chinese Avionics and missiles.

Secondly jf17 radar range is barely 70-80km . Even with an Chinese aesa (which is a joke ) it won't be a challenge for any Indian platform.

Indian Air Force Su-30MKI Flanker-H prepares to takeoff from a Jodhpur AFB, Rajasthan (India)

Do you really think it is a good idea to have a hotel overlooking one of your primary AFBs? The Rafale is going to be stationed there.

Air Force chief backs indigenous production of 5th generation jets

“For the fifth generation, the Indian programme AMCA has already been initiated. That has been given the go-ahead. We have been given full support. That programme is taking off. That is where we are putting our energies in," Bhadauria said. There are “no plans" to import “as yet" and “not for the foreseeable future", Bhadauria told reporters in New Delhi ahead of the 87th raising day of the IAF on 8 October.
Finally da gormint appointed someone who is in sync.

Israel did not give the source code to integrate the jammers, they certainly would not give it for the radar. Uncle Sam would never allow such a thing. Israel is not independent like that.

India's looking towards Russian tech for upgradation of her own fighter fleet! Why will they allow us to steal their customers & not do it themselves?

The IAF and HAL both need to wake up and understand that trying to integrate disparate systems from multitude of sources is a brainless exercise. Too much time and money has been spent on trying to get russian radar to talk to french misson computer to give readouts on Israeli instruments and launch hodge podge of Russian, Indian, Israeli and even British weapons.

There's no good reason the local SU-30 costs 750 crores even today while Russians sell theirs for 250 crores. It's a criminal waste of money

Yes...and how much did it cost? And why have they still bought MICA-IR at €1M a piece? Has the M2K ever actually carried an R73 into a CAP? No

That's what I mean, there are totally different trajectories happening with no broader agenda. Hence a lot of money gets wasted without any practical result

The unit cost of Su 30 built by HAL had nothing do with the integration of these weapon systems nor Russia supply Su 30 for 250 crore anymore.

Now coming to integration of R 73 missile with Mirage 2000 was much needed at that time to keep it relevant and effective. Mirage has been flown with R 73 for long now so chill.

we will soon see MICA IR on Mirage and Rafale and ASRAAM will be standard missile for IAF fighter jets including Tejas.

Su30 MKI has Indian mission computer. And we have codes of bars required to integrate Indian weaponry. We have not only integrated Astra but also bramhos on our own .
