It's called "DAT ASS"
Device Anti-Tundra, Asset Survival System

Just kidding.

It's simply a piece of insulting foam that's used in tundra regions; especially by Soviet countries.
So that you can retain your core's temperature even if you have to sit on ice or ice cold metal/rock for an extended period of time.
Hitlon ? It's used by our troops too.

Even on a freezing ground it will completely insulate you.

Founder of Astr Defence is now on twitter, y’all can ask him questions in case y’all have any.
Funny how he or our SSS guy keeps saying it's all restricted, confidential, MoD handbook, blah blah blah.
While firms like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are regularly showing their newest toys without any hesitation.

Depends on the government you are working for, if the US asked the companies to keep it a secret they would have.

I wonder what kind of operational threat a government is going to get from revealing details about pistols and assault rifles.
And that too when the said weapon have been made by downloading stl files from open sources.

There is no operational threat. When you sign a developmental or operational contract with any agency, you sign a NDA. Now when it comes to DRDO, any publishing which would go public have to undergo massive scrutiny from MOD or concerned authority. But in case of pvt company, it's not a case. So the sword is always hanging on you. For any product which they are undertaking on their own, it's not an issue to go public. But if anyhow MOD or any third party with whom NDA has been signed comes in, they won't take risk of going public.
