SSS is a Indian company, they are already being manufactured in india.
I love how twitter dumbasses are posting the pics on r/militaryporn thinking this is an huge achievement. This is just basic stuff, what will be truely inpressive is a proper rifle.

Somebody tell me, why are we importing close combat optics when we already have indigenious holographic and MRWS sight (basically Desi MOR sight). Why foreign sights for sss defence kits, i guess it's a part of package but huh so much for Desi products.

@Johny_Baba @Lonewarrior @Tactical Doge @FalconSlayers @Bhumihar @ezsasa and others, can y’all ID the parts that are directly imported by SSS Defence from other/foreign OEMs. We know that the stock (ATI Strikeforce) and the magazine are imported as confirmed by their CEO Viv Krishnan in a DM convo with me on twitter. But did not speak about the rest of the parts. If I’m not mistaken the pistol grip looks like it’s the ATI X1.

So the only thing "indeginous" is the handguard and maybe the top cover.
to be fair, for 24 rifles making their own plastic molds and developing their own mags would be very expensive.
Compared to that CNC machining recievers and handguards is cheaper.
Even in their snipers and prototype ARs, stocks and grips were aftermarket.

That's not what I'm pissed about them.
There is no problem whatsoever in supplying non OEM parts. Even big US firms use parts made by Magpul and Troy.

If they are supplying 3rd party parts then they should simply call themselves Vendors. Why gather so much public sentiment in the name of Aatmanirbhar, and first Indian firm to do this and that!?
