That's not what I'm pissed about them.
There is no problem whatsoever in supplying non OEM parts. Even big US firms use parts made by Magpul and Troy.

If they are supplying 3rd party parts then they should simply call themselves Vendors. Why gather so much public sentiment in the name of Aatmanirbhar, and first Indian firm to do this and that!?
You know how our armed forces are, unless pressured into it they wont opt for indeginous stuff.

Alright guys, a question,
say, what's the status of "Revolver//Revolving Rifles" in India ?
legal for civilians ?

i mean, something like this in say, .357 magnum (that's a NP bore here, legal for civilians), like this Alfa Proj .357 Carbine...

now i know that (mostly imported) Henry Lever Action rifles are legal here for civilian use but reloading them after emptying is slower than reloading a revolver, and if we use moon clips then it's even faster...
although i didn't like this alfa proj one entirely either, rather i have this concept in mind,
say,
> a chiappa rhino style action with lowermost chamber firing design + nagant m1895 style ;gas sealing; moving cylinder that would seal the gap between revolving chamber and barrel, action should be double action/single action type or if DA is not legal then single action
> ammo capacity of 7 rounds for .357 magnum, but 6 is also fine, support for moon-clips, hinge-out style design for kicking out spent cartridges faster and of course faster reloads with moon clips
> top, bottom and side MIL STD 1913 rails for optics and attachments, rest a simple front-blade-rear-flip up notch-style iron sights set
> frame design that's legal, ideally a pistol grip plus buttstock but if not that then conventional rifle style design is also good
> barrel length...maybe 10 to 12 inches
> handguards, not sure what could work but anything's fine, or better rails mounted covers or so

ideally, a modern version of this,

@Johny_Baba @Lonewarrior @Tactical Doge @FalconSlayers @Bhumihar @ezsasa and others, can y’all ID the parts that are directly imported by SSS Defence from other/foreign OEMs. We know that the stock (ATI Strikeforce) and the magazine are imported as confirmed by their CEO Viv Krishnan in a DM convo with me on twitter. But did not speak about the rest of the parts. If I’m not mistaken the pistol grip looks like it’s the ATI X1.View attachment 152035View attachment 152036 View attachment 152038
The last one had a larger, slight round charging handle in comparison to others ?

It's called marketing and baby steps.

They remind me of Micromax the so called Indian phone company which had nothing Indian about it apart from the fact that Rahul used to sit at Nehru Palace Delhi.

Hope they come out better for the sake of our small arms industry.
