Same. This is my preferred length as well and 16" for a bit longer ranges.

Anything above 14.5" is a assault rifle IMO, X-95 in service with PARA SF and MARCOs is the best length but the thing is its a bullpup!

I personally like the Arad carbine and with these basic attachments, its pretty good for a infantry soldier or even an SF squad commander as he is always the breacher!

The Carbines will be shared among Army the Regular infantry carbine you can expect a BEL holo at most that's how much shit they give SF will recieve carbines and customise them according to their will most probably with a holo, magnifier, Dbal and a suppressor like how they do with their guns now especially new X95s and for Infantry if you see anything other than HOLO consider the unit lucky

Not Gun Guru. But Zenitco pretty much have massive catalogue of mods for AK series. Problem is who will source these kind of upgrades. In terms of Scope we have Tata, Tonbo, BEL.

Short Answer: Easily we can upgrade the AK 203 to modern standards.
Long Answer: Army will not do this.

Thing with pkm is lack of practical barrel swaps, plus it's designed to feed rimmed cartridge. Polish army tried to modify theirs for 7.62 Nato but had a hard time.

Jindal Stainless up 2.5% as defence arm's rifle gets army clearance
It takes the T4 rifle a step closer to meeting the army's demand for 425,000 rifles, a report by online portal Indian Defence Research Wing has said

A rifle developed jointly by Jindal Defence and Brazilian firm Taurus Arms has cleared a series of test by the Indian Army, online portal Indian Defence Research Wing has reported.

The clearance takes the T4 rifle a step closer to being selected for a contract to supply 425,000 rifles to the army, the portal said.


Following the development, Jindal Stainless stock price surged 2.5 percent to Rs 814.8 on BSE on June 10.

According to the report, the rifle went through various tests to check its reliability, durability and performance.

Taurus, which partnered Jindal Defence, is an expert in making small arms. The partnership has taken efforts to meet Indian Army’s requirements with an aim to give fillip to domestic manufacturing efforts and cut dependence on imports, the report said.
