In an alternate universe, our soldiers are equipped with these beauties. In this one, some sons of bitches killed this amazing rifle. Our very own XM7.
the era of custom buttstocks is also going down with emergence of two thingsIf they put a better stock then the gun actually looks dope af
Thank you looked up pics of sig spear and damn it really is a picateni rail at the back damn awesome you are right it's a solution to all of our problems but well we both know know one is gonna do it in ardethe era of custom buttstocks is also going down with emergence of two things
> AR15 style buffer tube buttstocks; which often goes on any firearm with compatible adapter and a lot of modern era guns have got these kind of adapters already, be it AK or so
> vertical picatiny rails itself as a holder/mount for picatiny-mounted buttstocks, 'specially in 2020s era newer rifles are coming this way, e.g. SIG NGSW-R "SPEAR"

it's easiest solution for all your different buttstock problems and needs - like same picatiny rail goes on different kind of guns be it rifles to submachine guns and so, all you need to be careful about is using enough material with needed strength at buttstock side for that part to be held there - likewise it provides great amount of flexibility to the user to choose and install his perferred buttstock without much tinkering around with armourer-level toolwork for it
and second path is also what i believe OFB//AWEIL, ARDE, DRDO et al folks should be looking at - of course if only they have stopped using Internet Explorer by now (no pun intended)
it took them almost two decades (sheesh) to put picatiny rails above their firearms since picatiny railed guns came out in 90s - same time INSAS was being developed; maybe at least 5 years to a decade for adopting to picatiny rail as buttstock mount thing
Could have been our own SiG MCX. The robust side folding stock was neat too.In an alternate universe, our soldiers are equipped with these beauties. In this one, some sons of bitches killed this amazing rifle. Our very own XM7.
overall good, my only gripe with the design is it seems to be 'inspired' from SIG SAUER's P320 // M18 one and that pistol is already criticised a lot for range of issues starting from parts breakage to misfires and what not - that design of 'trigger group in a stamped metal housing in a polymer shell as grip' thing on P320 // M18 doesn't seem to be that reliable so keep that in mind...
@Johny_Baba and others on the sub what do you guys think? People are saying 2lac for this

but overall a giant step forward in terms of desi defense productions because what do we have otherwise ? OFB made .32 revolver and pistols of ~100 years old designs
*chough ahem*

in a previos some post of mine i thought it was based on FN 509 pistol owning to how they derived their Indra Rifle from SCAR design etc, but after a while i found a much near pistol to Atal that SIG Sauer P320 was, and since then I believe it is (read again) derived from that one.
If true then this is how it would disassemble to primary parts

and same SIG SAUER got criticised in the US for supplying their armed forces with "modern" P320 pistols//P17 Pistols that fires on their own and ended up injuring many; and SIG SAUER gays claim it got resolved with new batches or whatever but it still happens as this article is from 3 dec 2022, not so old

both P320 and P17 just breaking apart in two thanks to that design of polymer frame that houses metal framed fire control unit; and lol i used to think worst about these pistols were that they go bang bang abruptly on their own...
besides there aremore issues like
- ejector (fixed blade type, part of metal frame of FCU) gets bended after some use (rumoured to be happening because of overinsertion) and in worst cases it just locks up slide to the frame, so you cannot cycle it anymore

View attachment 199993
or outright breaks off the pistol and gets lodged inside working parts causing issues or what not, making you get a new metal frame for FCU itself
View attachment 199987
- tip of firing pin breaks off the pin and gets lodged inside working parts of just gets stuck within slide, causing ranging of issues like obstruction in slide movement to worse, slamfires

amreekis...they should've just kept using Berettas or if they wanted a striker fired pistol so badly then Glock was already there in that race but *somehow* SIG SAUER won
for detailed article, image source and more info on this charade of a gun,

and for sake of fair criticism, here is ruskie counterpart,
MP-443 'Grach', here chambered in ;less lethal; 10x28mm ammo for police usage etc things;
notice its polymer frame also got broken very similarly like SIG SAUER P320 // P17 with that separate FCU remaining somewhat intact with slide part, as i shown in post above

They are coming out with .45 version too and 9 mm for the military I think it's a great leap forward for our country who had nothing but old revolvers in the market maybe this will inspire others or just Astr guys will keep working on and making there products Better.overall good, my only gripe with the design is it seems to be 'inspired' from SIG SAUER's P320 // M18 one and that pistol is already criticised a lot for range of issues starting from parts breakage to misfires and what not - that design of 'trigger group in a stamped metal housing in a polymer shell as grip' thing on P320 // M18 doesn't seem to be that reliable so keep that in mind...
