What's the difference between our 6.8 and us military 6.8 round?
Noob wanna learn, if you really wanna learn then I'm giving you a very important lesson today.

Always...and I really mean always use full name of a cartridge.
Why? Because it'll answer most of the question.

Imagine instead of "our 6.8 and US 6.8" you would have written 6.8x51mm and 6.8x43mm you would have clearly noticed that US case is 8mm longer which means, more volume which means, more space for powder which means, more pressure which means, higher velocity.

Thank you this was very insightful "I would have wrote full names of cartridges if I knew lol" and why tf did we not go for 51 mm instead of 43 if we can succeed with 43 we sure as hell can succeed with 51

US adapted 5.56, we did. They thought 6.8 SPC may be the future, we also thought. They realised of sh*t it's not the future, we also realised the same. They decided to use a mix of 7.62x51mm and 5.56x45mm to get most effective, we are currently doing so......Now when US will completely move to a 6.8x51mm cartridge we'll realise that it's better for us too.

It's called staying behind the curve, very advanced and effective strategy it is.

How can you be so wrong??

First, we'll completely adopt 7.62x39/51 in two three years
Then we'll realise the need to buy a new assault rifle in next seven eight years
Then a endless loop of RFIs and RFPs for an year or two.

And then only in DefExpo 2034 you'll find a slightly old and visibly hopeless Vivek Krishnan presenting new 6.8x51mm rifle offering from SSS Defence

Does anyone know if that bayonet charge thingy shown in almost every indian army video where guys run up to some foxhole covered by camo net and do the bayonet stab acting, is it what our infantry supposed to do in this day and age? I mean what can go wrong🥲. Is that just for public consumption or we are doomed?

Don't know what our infantry is supposed to do or not but it's still taught to our soldiers.

It's only applicable where both the sides are out of ammunition, otherwise it's more or less a suicide.
