inko jaise jaise nayi bandhooke de rhe ho waise waise SOP bhi upgrade kro bisi...carrying this high calibre precision sniper/anti material rifle like usual 60s era guns...yeh sainik free-floating barrel pe aise wazan daal rhe hain god forbid if it ends up messing up its bedding and it gets shifted, even minor such thing would affect accuracy of the weapon at long range...in da west they often keep their high tech weapons in those big briefcase styled carry boxes with thermocol/fibreglass paddings and what not, because there are such reasons behind that...
aur fir yehi log raute hain "muh deliket plastic wasturn toyz" like some of they did with glock pistols 🤷‍♂️

Waise it shouldnt be all that problematic, as long as they re-zero their rifles regularly. Barrel wont have permanent damage unless it is hot, in which case they cant hold it like that either. Long term effect will be there, POI will shift down slightly.

And troop seems to have it basically with center of mass near the resting point (on his shoulder), so force on the barrel will likely be low. Still, better to carry it properly, but most likely IA will ignore it.

Based on the successful trials of Trichy Carbine, AWEIL has received an order of 92 weapons worth Rs 67.16 crores from Kerala Police on 31 January 2022. Should actually read ₹67.16 lakhs not crores.
