Same OFB also manufactured SLRs, Sterling Guns and that too in very big Numbers . Dose anyone know how was the Quality of these Guns back then .

I have not come across anyone till date who evaluated SLR or Sterling made by OFB ........

If Sterling and SLRs made by OFB performed without any issue than we really cannot blame OFB totally . I guess the Design of INSAS eventually was such that they could not produce a Good Quality INSAS .
Sterlings cant be standard for deciding quality.... Those are simple blowback smgs, which can literally be made by crude tools. Problem with Insas is that OFB, instead of simply copying premium AK (Like Israel), they decided to make too many innovations which ended up reducing reliability.

NSG getting Krinkov bois
“OFT, has, so far, completed deliveries for 30,000 TAR weapons that are customised to meet the requirements of buyers, and will be completing the delivery of 42,000 to 45,000 units during this fiscal out of the orders for 78,000 weapons placed collectively by the Central Reserve Police Force, Border Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, and police forces in States, Mr. Rajiv Jain said”.

I once had a dream to see NSG commandos replace all the ageing MP5s with MSMCs(now JVPC). Makes me happy that it's now being inducted by them.
MP5s were replaced by MPX probably they were looking for carbines and they recently ordered TrichyCarbine and since when NSG started using Arsenal? These guys are NSG?

With CAPFs issuuing bulk orders for TAR, I doubt anyone else will show any interest in AK-203 production except army.
AK-203 must be priced higher than TAR even if both get made by OFB. When it comes to arming State Jawans, higher ups may not approve more expensive items. Hence CAPF, CRPF, SSB's inclination towards TARs and Ghataks.

Still it's same, either a one time ToT or royalties on each piece. It'll increase the cost price significantly compared to an Arsenal copy.
I won’t be surprised if they’ve taken ToT from Arsenal, considering they’ve copied TriCa and Arsenals M6 UBGL too, the same way they sneakily took ToT from an unnamed foreign OEM to help them with their .338 Lapua sniper rifle.

But I don't think there is any innovation in Arsenal's AKs that they can patent to form the base for a ToT. It uses decades old data package supplied to all ex-USSR countries.

Moreover, they chances of Bulgaria applying for patents here in India is quite bleak.
